2025 Notre Dame Recruiting Prospects
jessemoore97 replied to Big23Head's topic in Recruiting Discussion
Right, and having some QBs who can see over them will be helpful, which Carr and Deuce fit the bill. And what back wouldn't want to run behind that. -

Spring practice should clear a few things up also ie transfers out. -
In addition, perhaps Golden doesn't have much aspirations for another HC gig. Agree with the rest.

LMAO without reading this and knowing we had an opening for the safeties coach...lol and looking at the pic. 🤣

Didn't watch a second of it, I don't care for the NFL at all. The other stuff probably should go to off topic forum for that can of worms.

Rumors out there that Rees may be looked at for the Bruins HC. He just got hired by the Browns. Weird off season coaching carousel. Tom has ties to the program with his dad who was on the staff for awhile and brother played there. The Bruins haven't exactly been tearing it up on the field so expectations aren't high and you have the big transition to the BIG West next year.

Right. Having our staff receive overtures from other teams, or the staff go out and apply/get better opportunities is not a bad thing. That's a sign of a healthy program and shows that there are things we are doing right. Other up and coming coaches are going to see this also and the environment Freeman is building, thus wanting to come aboard.

Kid looks real lanky, in a good way. Rather have taller safeties than munchkins. -
Agreed. Lou in those early years had to credit a lot to Vinny Cerrato. Multiple #1 recruit classes and tons of blue chippers really solidified '88-'93. Those were as close to Saban type classes and on the field results in my lifetime, and may never be replicated. Bowden and Freeman are clearly attacking recruiting, NIL, and the portal proactively/creatively, while others are noticing. Hopefully we'll notice with the on the field product as a result too.

Link to article I saw on NDNation. https://footballscoop.com/news/sources-marcus-freeman-stays-hot-hanging-on-to-chad-bowden-after-michigan-courtship

NDNation making sound like he is staying. Also mentioned that programs are taking notice of some things ND is doing in recruiting, which Bowden gets some credit for and probably Freeman too. This is a good thing.

Updated: Riley Leonard May be Out for Winter Conditioning
jessemoore97 replied to tneun89's topic in Notre Dame Football
Regardless, no need to push hard while he is healing. There's no rush and have it re-aggrivated. -
Thought it would be cool if Bryce Young grabbed 97 like his dad. Ahhh the memories...

Updated: Riley Leonard May be Out for Winter Conditioning

I hadn't seen any reporting prior to today that he was undergoing surgery for this injury. Granted I don't remember clarifying info about the exact nature of his injury either. Like most, I presumed it was a bad strain/sprang which takes time to heal. -
Weird...we're all little touched. I can't use that as too big of a disqualifier, pot meet kettle lol.

Goes Chargers before charges are dropped on meatchicken, how very Pete Carroll of him. Funny how he almost was ran out of scUM a few years ago and had his contract re-done dropping his pay. Then bam the skunkbears go on a tear, coincidentally the same time the signal stealer is with the program. I dunno. I wasn't a big Jimny fan after I watched him send a very concussed QB back out onto the field against us which could have really hurt that kid...

‘24 NC DL Bryce Young [ND Verbal]

I think similar to Lynch, he will get PT, not start but we will see him work his way in more as the season moves along. -

My wife is very beautiful, but there is no way we would have wed if she couldn't cook! Quickest way to a man's heart is through his stomach lol.

Incoming Player Transfers (2023-24)
jessemoore97 replied to NYGoldenDomer's topic in Notre Dame Football
Funny about Proctor. I spoke to his aunt last winter I think it was and she said Iowa actually offered more NIL than Bama, and I heard he really wanted to go to Iowa but mom got involved. He was allegedly high on ND early on as was his teammate Nwankpa who did go to Iowa. -

I thought I read somewhere that taking a student with 1 year is easier than someone as a Soph or Junior level. That is as a frosh you are taking intro courses etc in college, but once a major is declared the differences between ND and another school varies a lot more. I dunno. -
Tommy Rees hired as Cleveland Browns TE Coach
jessemoore97 replied to SpeedsterX's topic in Notre Dame Football
The best thing he can do is learn and make inroads in the coaching fraternity. His time will come. Once he becomes a HC, he likely won't have the benefit of being surrounded by blue chippers at a blue blood program like ND, Bama, or Georgia. The value of developing recruits becomes so important, especially when it's your neck on the chopping block as the HC. Presuming he stays the college route. -

And Rees is being smart by not taking the path of least resistance by linking to BK at LSU. Instead he will be connected to another exceptional HC and program further enhancing/expanding his resume and acumen. -

I won't hold out hope, but that would be pretty sweet.
