  1. I find it hard to believe that Benn will go any where but ND. HOWEVER, I also thought that Ryan Miller would choose ND over CU, and we all saw how that one went down. Sometimes kid's decisions don't make any sense.
  2. About the pic,... It doesn't mean a whole lot, but come on... I'd rather see him post a pic of himself in an ND hoodie than a CU hoodie. I still don't put a whole lot of stock in the whole myspace thing though. If you remember right, Devaul Kamara had Miami crap posted as his background a couple of days before he committed to ND. Nevertheless, I appreciate the contribution. On Miller, I really hope that this kid picks ND. He's the Sam Young of this class--an absolute monster. Him and Young holding down the tackles, that would be sweet. He must really be sold on Barnett and CU,.. but if things keep going the way that they are, I don't see Barnett being there much longer.
  3. wow, what a game. I think that I'll be dead if they keep this crap up. Unbelievable.
  4. how did benn do in this game? Anyone got the stats?
  5. He must really like CU for them to still be in the hunt. I hope that we don't come in second on this one. 0-4 or 3-1, it's pretty unbelieveable that CU still makes the cut, but I kind of understand the whole wanting to stay home thing. ND will definately set him up for the pros better though. Just think Miller and Young as our tackels, Clausen will have weeks to throw.
  6. It would be awesome to pull Tyler from them because he really is a great talent. Plus, what's better than taking something away from USC?
  7. lol,... good call. I haven't heard too many kids come back from a visit and say that it was ok, or that they didn't have a good time. Anyhow, Martin, I feel will be irish when all is said and done. OSU is going to get exposed by either Iowa this weekend or definately Mich in a couple of weekends. This will help balance out our loss to Mich because we'll be winning game like crazy when the Mich game rolls around for OSU.
  8. I think and have thought all along that Marvin Austin is UM's to lose. He just seems like a UM guy to me, I think that you all know what I mean when I say that. Next to commit,... MSG after the PU game. Then, Little I hope.
  9. I thought that ND had this kid in the bag. That would suck imo. I would be very surprised if this was true,.. stranger things have happened though. Like Gallipo and Tyler commiting to USC.
  10. Weis is a better recruiter than TW,... holy crap. Hopefully Weis can pull that 6-2 kid from Calilfornia who has the laser rocket arm. What was his name?? Fausen, Dausen maybe. Yeah, it's Dausen, like Dausen Creek. Clausen's Creek, lol. On a serious note, I hope JA can bring something to the table. Prince doesn't seem like he's really ready (I could be wrong), and I don't really care for DW's running style. I do, however, like DW's catching and blocking abilities though. He is excellent in those departments.
  11. yes, on ESPN2. That's great because Comcast, where I live, does not have ESPNU. Yeah I don't get ESPN U either, but the game last week was on FSN. Channel 53 in the central Indiana region. I watched most of the game last week. Jimmy looked really good, so did Marc Tyler. It really baffles me that Tyler and JC didn't come as a package deal. Why Marc! Why?!
  12. nothing like getting my hopes up,.. jeez TD. Is there any punishment for this??? JK, congrats on 2 G's, I got a little way to go.
  13. I don't completely agree with this at all. I saw Quinn miss McKnight at least twice towards then end of the game. I didn't even get to watch the whole thing, but I'm sure he missed more than that. He isn't what he is hyped up to be. I think that the pressure has gotten to his head.
  14. As much as I hate to admit it, you're right,... period. BQ isn't as good as everyone thinks, DW is NOT a gamebreaker, JS can be shut down, and most importantly the D has been VERY lucky lately. ND is a pretty good team, but I would put them at # 10 at best. I hope recruiting doesn't take a hit for this.
  15. I like this front page from foxsports.com , "Who's overrated now?" [/img]
  16. I take it that you're not that big of a clausen fan sj? I think that he'll probably be making a few throws next year, but you can never tell how these kids are going to pan out.
  17. The Illini looked horrible. Any kid considering to go there must be thinking of going somewhere else now. That program is a LONG ways from being fixed.
  18. Wow,... I didn't really want to win like that, but a win is a win. I think that G Tech is a lot better than people think, and I'm not just saying that bc they gave ND a run for their money. Some more thoughts on TN win and ND survival. One thing that hasn't been mentioned that I feel is really important is home field advantage. This is the first game of the season for these kids, and having your home crowd behind you helps to shake out the jitters. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that that is the reason for both cases, but I would say that it had something to do with it.
  19. yeah, I've kind of had some similar feelings. Don't forget Harrison Smith too. On the bright side, Colorado lost to Montana St., Ryan Miller can't be as in love with CU as he was before.
  20. Just a small article I found on Robinson,... per scout.com Testing results: 40: 4.97 – Agility: 4.60 – Vert: 23.5 OL – Trevor Robinson – So. – 6-5, 285 (Elkhorn) – Like his teammate, Trevor was only in for the one day, but this young man continues to deliver on cue. Despite his youth and size, Robinson is quick off the ball, and while he’s a little green with his hands and his feet, he’s got the instincts of a good lineman. And more importantly, he’s got the long arms, nice upper body and he could easily put 30 more pounds on his frame and hold it very well. Because he hasn’t even reached his official junior year, the only material he’s getting through the mail are offers to camp. But of those, he’s getting a ton. And Robinson isn’t waiting around to get his name out there as he will attend a one-day camp at Iowa on Tuesday, which will be followed up by one-day camps at Ohio State, Notre Dame and Michigan. Robinson is a born and bred Husker fan as you might imagine, but by the time this young man is a senior, he could have a whole lot of schools to choose from. He along with the following player are the two early candidates as the best linemen in the state for the class of 2008.
  21. OMG! We could only wish. As much as I hate OSU and AJ Cawk, he is a freaking animal. Period. Rare talent.
  22. nice article, that was a really good read. It really put the 40 in to perspective.
  23. i thought that it was the cat's "pajamas"
