  1. Ron "I injured my ankle tripping over a street curb" Powlus. He was the poster boy for the beginning of the end of the golden Holtz era.
  2. Tommy played well for Tommy yesterday, but the sad fact is that his performance was still not good enough for an ND QB. The picks, the low completion pct, lack of arm strength and the lack of mobility to create a positive play out of a broken one all contribute to that. He's got a great football IQ though and his ability to audible and adjust formations with positive results was impressive. Will be a great coach one day.
  3. ND 47 Temple 13 Tommy Rees excels against overmatched defenses (the Maryland and AF games two years ago come to mind). We'll have 40 by halftime and Hendrix mops up in the 2nd half.
  4. It seems like the MeatChicken game is always close (since 09 anyway), no matter the talent level. It also seems like the better team tends to lose. The last four years, we had no business losing from ,'09-'11, and honestly we lucked out last year with their 5 turnovers. They were generally driving up and down the field on us.
  5. I think Sheldon Day will dominate Saturday with all the attention on Tuitt/Nix
  6. Who are you, Siskel or Ebert? Smh....great video, thanks for sharing!
  7. I'm with Chiro...we really need this guy. Looks like a game-changer ala Floyd
  8. Whoever voted Les Miles at 24 doesn't have the CHEST to be a real evaluator of coaching talent
  9. after replaying all of 2012's games over the last few months, it looks like Ishaq didn't get to the football that much....but when he did he absolutely creamed people. He should be able to create some turnovers with his speed and power
  10. I wouldn't say he runs scared and timid but he definitely has a style of feeling his way around the line of scrimmage instead of just banging through the hole. Given daylight, there's nobody on our team who is scarier though! He's hands down the best home run threat we have, and I think he will learn to be more decisive at the LOS next year.
  11. IF...and its a big IF at this point....Kinlaw can be 100% I think he will be the surprise of the class. His film is electric...game-changer caliber. I like Deeb's toughness and he will be a great run-stopper; I think he will need to develop his coverage skills and that will keep him out of the starting rotation for a few years.
  12. He really impressed people in the all-star circuit...jumped way up there in the Rivals 250. Need guys like this to compete with the elite, top 5 teams year in and out!
  13. Thanks for the post Coach. Best ND news I've heard this week by far!
  14. - Can you guys even imagine what it would be like to beat Alabama and score two decommits from USC. Jeeeeez! I'm not even allowing myself to even dream about that at this point, but you are right OK, this is in the realm of possibilities!
