As well as ND runs the ball Teams will bring extra people into the run box. They will run straight down Hill to fill run gaps. But a boot flat play is a great way to defeat a stacked box

NC State's coaches have to be furious about this one. They've got want they want. 8 men in the box vs a run formation. Red 7 is the Free hitter(meaning he's the guy supposed to make the tackle. He freezes at the Snap and our 7 Estime runs right by him.

Yes!

Like, that run for real gave me flashbacks of Josh Adam’s and how fast he was when he got out into space! One move, and then gone! So BA!! 😆

Same principle really, 8 man box two guys got in 1 gap, here Josh stiff armed the free hitter, away he went. People think  "stacking the box" is a great run defense but like blitzing all it takes is 1 guy to miss and it can be a long quick 6. In reality stacking the box  should only be used in field goal range but teams get greedy.

3 deep Zone bilitz here.. Do we disguise too much? We are showing cover 2 get the pressure but carter is late. If he's just in 1 high at the snap, the blitz might get there
