I've been a fan forever.  I like this team a lot.  Maybe their most complete team of this century.  But I'll admit that I don't know a lot of names on the defensive side.  No superstar safeties, no superstar D-linemen.  But they do have quality safeties and D-linemen, and depth.  Maybe that's why I don't know a lot of names.  Quality depth but not a lot of star power.

Last year's stumbling out of the gate put a huge damper on enthusiasm.  Don't stumble this year, and mix in a defeat of Ohio State, and we'll all be dialed in.

It always takes me a few games to learn the new numbers but honestly pretty excited.  I would agree off the top of my head will need to learn the WR's and TE's numbers....most of the D and the O line, QB and RB I should be good to go by the end of the Navy game.  I actually am optimistic for the team this year...yes we will likely lose a game or two  but I do not think we will lose 3.  May surprise and only lose 1.  O- line play, QB and RB will keep us on the scoreboard.   D will do enough. Go Irish!

I remembered about 95% of this right off the top of my head, but cheated just a bit for a couple numbers.

QB - Correct

RB - Devyn Ford (22), and Gi’Bran Payne (3)

OL - Correct

WR - Deion Colzie (0) and Braylon James (14)

TE - Cooper Flanagan (87)

DE - Jordan Botelho (12), Nana-Osafo Mensah (31), and Junior Tuihalamaka (44)

CB - Correct

But…you can use this to help you out.

I've been a fan since the early 90s and I have actually never felt more connected with the teams the past few seasons since finding this board.  Prior to finding this place I could take several games before new names started to stick and learning numbers, etc.  Being here and reading more about the players, and learning about new kids starting with their recruitment prior to even joining really helps in retaining their names longer term.  I already feel like I know a lot of this roster, not only because there is a lot of rollover from last season, but because these incoming freshmen were among the first classes that I started paying attention to in the recruiting threads/forum(thanks @Big23Head lol).  I really don't wanna rush away the rest of the summer but I am so pumped for this season to start,  I'm so excited to see what this team does.

I could not agree with this more, and feel the exact same way!

Since finding this board, it has helped me become so connected to the football team!
