Stock Market Crashing

Recommended Posts

Down almost 2,000 points since the start of the year. Many economists called it due to Obama's policies of running up the national debt. GNP is at 2% growth rate but only because of the Oil industry and it is in a free fall. Middle class is decreasing, lower class is increasing, government is growing and regulations are strangling small business. Don't worry, Obama has a plan. Executive Orders now allow him to be the only president to declare Martial Law in time of peace!!!

Tim, oil is getting killed right now. A huge reason the DOW is down. Devon is now planning more layoffs and Sandridge just had some. I filled up this morning for 1.499/gallon for NON ethanol. It was about to time the DOW dropped like this honestly. More concerned with all the gas company layoffs. It is seriously affecting our state economy.

This news of the stock market dropping 2,000 points is not an accident but is intentional. We have our current administration, or lack thereof, to thank for this free fall. It is unfortunate that the liberal media always spins situations to favor the Obama Administration, but the writing is on the wall with government-run healthcare and unemployment running rampant in all parts of the nation. Without question, a Republican needs to be sworn in on January 20, 2017. I shudder to think what will happen if Hillary wins the election!

I don't trust Trump but he is 1,000 times better than Hillary. Trump seems so self centered and he bashes anybody that gets in his way. A president needs more restraint, especially when it comes to attacking other countries.

Palin recently endorsed Trump thinking it will help him out in Iowa. I, honestly, think the Republicans are a little worried about having Trump represent their party in the election but realize he is the only viable candidate that can defeat Hillary. I would pay to hear the debate between Hillary and Trump. He would not hold back, and the Clintons' record certainly has some holes in it.

The market is still up 8000 since he took office. Meaning it must have been close to 10000 at one point. But a few bad weeks on the market and Obama ruined it. Way this market is, wouldn't surprise me if it rebounded up 500 Pts soon. I doubt you will give Obama credit for that though. Not sure your economists but the reason it is down is oil, China's market and correction from all time record high percentage increases.

Yes, oil is a big part of the market decline, but the fact remains our economy has tanked under Obama. The low oil prices should spurn growth in other areas but it is not happening. GNP is stagnant and collapsing. Middle class is shrinking while wages are lowered and jobs are declining as manufacturing companies go out of business. Estimated that 94 million Americans are out of work.

I would love for the market to rebound and I think it might (if it doesn't we will be in a depression). But giving Obama credit would be ridiculous. What policy has he initiated that is pro business. He grows government, debt and dependency. It is hard to kill our economy but he is doing a great job of that.

Ugh. Nevermind. Pointless to get in any debate with you. Go read a non fiction book. You keep using that 94 mill which is a false number that I proved false countless times. You are like a wall, "no actual that number is false" you-"94 million" me- "no really here's proof" you "94 million".

Me "no the economy has grown gnp is at a level that is fairly normal" you-"Obama ruins it all" me"no really look at a chart over the past 100 years" - you "Obama ruins everything". Me " there are cranes everywhere building" you- "Obama ruins everything".

You must be miserable.

You are a certifiable loon and your mindset and complete unawareness of what is actually happening frightens me. I know there are many of you out there but I do hope not enough to usher in the leaders of the crazy i.e. Trump or Cruz.

Oil is propping up the US economy!!!! You do know oil is what is dragging the stock market down because of over supply, new shale oil from the US being one of the many culprits. It might also be a shock to you to lean but the US is just 1 country in a vast globe and all the other countries can do as they please with their economies. Hence Saudi keeps pumping oil, emerging economies currency devaluates...

94 million Americans are out work, are you honestly that simple? The population of the United States is currently 321 million documented. The current US workforce is estimated to be 144 millions people. Do I need to continue or can you do the rest?

Nothing is worse than Trump, I dont care what political party you align yourself with. Trump would ruin this country and would probably start WW3 (Everyone else against US)

I'm not thrilled about the idea of Trump, but

1) This country is already ruined. I'm not opposed to handing the reins to someone whose decisions aren't enslaved by partisan nonsense. In other words, I'm in favor of giving someone who hasn't been tainted by a lifetime of politics 4 years to make an impact.

2) He actually gets along quite well with world leaders. You're probably referring to his rhetoric regarding how he would handle ISIS, but this country has layers and layers of checks and balances to ensure that one person alone cannot drive the policy of the U.S. How do you think someone as stupid as W. Bush managed to act as our President? There are so many entities in play here when it comes to decision-making. We do not have a dictatorship and his tough stance on ISIS is just an appeal to voters who are sick and tired of watching our military slowly transition into an asexual assortment of cap guns and coddled cry babies.

3) I'd enjoy having someone as President who ignores the politically correct nonsense that has made us a global punchline. I really think that his success in business would translate to negotiations where, for once, we would actually leave the table with what is best for this nation (Iran). I think he would approach those negotiations armed with what is best for our country and not a grocery list of requests from the Republican party.

4) I agree with his stance on immigration and the broken system we have for securing our borders. We have become the nice yard to pi$$ in and the safe haven for strays when we can't even take care of our own citizens. Some call his idea of banning all Muslims from entering the country discrimination. I call it an admission that we cannot properly vet all foreign nationals entering our country on a daily basis.... the ban is just a temporary solution until the process is repaired and airtight. For the life of me I cannot understand why anyone would want foreign nationals here illegally---yet that is the stance of the Dems. Let them be here illegally so that we dont hurt anyone's feelings. Reward them for wiping their a$$ with our laws and permit them to reap the benefits of legal citizens in exchange for diluting the programs we have in place for legitimate Americans. Let potential terrorists thwart our attempts to weed them out by offering them the privacy and legal protections enjoyed by you and me.

For me he isnt an ideal candidate, but, as per usual, we are being asked to pick the least sh|ttiest option and I've seen enough corruption and inaction to give an outsider a shot.

Our country has already fallen off the cliff. Everyone knows it. Not hard to see its wide open.

Trump is capitalizing because of the reasons stated above by Echo. Most Americans don't trust either party.

The overwhelming reasoning is that Trump could possibly burn the whole thing down. There are 8 years of blatant lies. Bith parties aren't even trying to hide their lying anymore. Obama is an easy target because he's on tv more often and his lies are bigger.

I like Marco but will definitely support Trump over any Socialist.

Marco is absolutely my first choice. Seems very knowledgeable on the Middle East situation. Some question the 94 million out of work and that number is put out there by Fox. I certainly don't trust the main stream media run with liberal agendas and when a liberal disagrees with you all they can do is call you names.

I am certainly not a Trump fan but he may be hard to stop and he certainly wants to rebuild the country. Most interesting election of all time.

No need to generalize all liberals Okie. I mentioned this on another and I think it rings true here. Most of us are out to improve the nation, and that's what we are looking for in our political leaders. A difference of opinion in how to do that should not be just that...a difference in opinion.

There is no need to slander or create so much hatred toward the other side of the argument. Just a general statement, this is not toward you directly.

I love how everyone says this country is falling off a cliff. The drop has nothing to do with Obama and everything to do with China, oil and a correction (which markets are supposed to do!). I hope you all panic and sell low so I can buy on the downturn.

Where else are you gonna invest? Communist/Thief China? Dictatorship Russia? Socialist Europe? Crashing Brazil? Corrupt Africa? How are those countries working out for ya? Quit being doom and gloom and realize we have some problems but America is a rich young country with tons of talent and natural resources under a great democracy.
