  1. The ESPN app will usually put live events on demand a day or two after airing. I have used it for F1 races. I just checked, and it looks like they have been making bowl games available, too. If you have a cable login, you should be able to set up the app on a smart TV, Roku/Apple TV/TiVo/Firestick, tablet, or your phone.
  2. Any loss is a bad look. Sometimes a game is just a game. It'll be fine either way. If we lose, we'll feel bad. If we win, we'll feel better.
  3. That's an interesting and useful perspective. Once that is updated with the new class replacing 2019 (it was last updated 12/4), I think it is safe to assume the Composite will rise for ND. 2019: 2023:
  4. While there is no "one [indicator] to rule them all," the blue chip ratio is a well-regarded indicator of potential excellence. If you have more 4/5 stars, you're likely going to have a higher ceiling, right? Assuming that can be accepted, the 2 year cycle that just occurred should close the gap between ND and the top tier recruiters. If Freeman and co. can continue to recruit at a high-70s/low-80s (depending on rankings used) BCR, the gap continues to close. There's always room for improvement (just ask Saban), but that shouldn't preclude us from appreciating what has been a phenomenal effort to improve the team.
  5. I think this may have been your source: https://irish.nbcsports.com/2022/12/23/things-we-learned-remove-recency-bias-and-notre-dames-recruiting-has-clearly-reached-new-heights/
  6. That is correct. https://247sports.com/LongFormArticle/Blue-Chip-ratio-2022-college-football-15-teams-who-can-win-the-national-championship--190039196/
  7. Yes. The most famous example may be the BYU walk-on deal from last year.
  8. I voted for 11 personnel, because I think that would indicate the best potential for the offense (and I'm ever the optimist). The WR room is a lot stronger than it was a year ago. That needs to translate to games.
  9. I always get caught up in linebackers (Smith, Coney, JOK, Kollie), so Ausberry was my vote.
  10. For the readers, here is everything from Coach Freeman's PC: https://247sports.com/college/notre-dame/LongFormArticle/Everything-Marcus-Freeman-Said-on-Signing-Day-201108153/#201108153_5
  11. I love the idea of giving the transfer the nickname of Senior.
  12. We'll have to try not to confuse him with the other new guy named Kaleb Smith who plays wide receiver. https://247sports.com/college/notre-dame/Article/SIGNED-Notre-Dame-Receiver-Kaleb-Smith-201018341/
  13. Yes, this Kaleb Smith is the transfer from VaTech, and he signed with ND today, as well. https://mobile.twitter.com/kaleb11smith/status/1605622695235723264
  14. My suspicion is that this is a case of "availability bias," the tendency we have to believe that the things that come readily to mind are more representative than is actually the case. In other words, it feels that way to me because I care about and follow ND. However, I suspect it also happens to other schools at a similar rate. For example, Edwards was a flip from KSU. Minchey was a flip from Pitt.
  15. I try not to hold others to a higher standard. I happen to love where I work. Still, if someone offered me more money, a better title, and an easier path to promotion (see link), I might be tempted to leave. Best of luck to the kid. ND will likely be fine without him. https://www.si.com/college/notredame/recruiting/running-back-dylan-edwards-decommits-from-notre-dame-football
  16. I came in to the game at 24-17, and I have had a very good time since. The schadenfreude is strong.
  17. Apparently, Minchey is going to the AA Bowl. https://mobile.twitter.com/TomLoy247/status/1592556917981057024
  18. It gets crowded on game weekends, but I'd recommend Rocco's for some pizza Friday late afternoon/evening. It's a local spot that has been around forever. I haven't been there in years, but I have found memories.
  19. Welcome! Irish Breakdown put together a football game day experience: https://www.si.com/college/notredame/football/ultimate-notre-dame-football-game-day-experience-2022 See if any of those events/attractions appeal to you. I don't think you can go wrong wandering around campus, the lakes, etc. The tour should provide a good overview, tbh.
  20. Absolutely. He had some unfortunate injuries that always seemed to derail his progress, but he leaves with a degree. I hope he finds a program and school that offer a great fit and he thrives (except for any games he might play against ND).
  21. This link seems to be free: https://247sports.com/college/notre-dame/LongFormArticle/Everything-Marcus-Freeman-said-Monday-before-Notre-Dame-vs-Navy-197088471/#197088471_1
