2025 Notre Dame Recruiting Prospects

Lemming likes the word “motor.” He needs a thesaurus… -
Youngsters posting on FB as if our guys invented some of the shots they make…I’m like, bro, before you act like an expert, watch a couple decades of lacrosse and tell me about the Powell and Gait brothers…

Incoming Player Transfers (2023-24)

This goes back to the days when we’d sign a billion guys just to keep MSU and Michigan from getting them. Then, we’d put them on scout team. Haha -
Impact of NIL on Notre Dame
irishwavend replied to FaithInIrish Forever's topic in Notre Dame Football
The players are getting paid because there is a market that wants to see success on the field. Because that market watches, advertisers pay a lot of money to be seen while that market watches. In return, that advertising money comes back to the school in the form of millions of dollars in various ways. Paying for better players means even more value for advertisers and more money for Notre Dame to build buildings or fund programs. The average student who goes to Notre Dame doesn’t generate millions of dollars for the school. If they decide not to go there, someone else will fill the spot so they can have access to the excellent education funded by the football program and its players. I don’t see why the university would pay students to come (except for the absolute brightest) when supply and demand is in Notre Dame’s favor in a big way. The alums are part of the market that wants results on the field so their money goes towards those results which in turn increases value for Notre Dame, too. Paying kids to come doesn’t have much benefit to those alums either… I get what’s being said about working hard to pay for your kid to go to college, but there are just too many folks in the same boat while a big source of revenue for schools is football…the value of the school increases if football thrives. It’s simple business, unfortunately, and ordinary students are the consumer. Nobody pays consumers if they want to stay in business. -

Do we need another runningback….? Seems odd… -
Can’t believe Estime will fall as far as he will. He’s built for the NFL and will last for a while. That’s what you need in a back…Bo Jackson but without the big bad bum hip…

2026 Notre Dame Recruiting Prospects

The only sport where I’m a fan of transgender players playing with actual women is basketball. Let’s see some dunks… Viewership would certainly go up and then, women might actually sign contracts worth more than $75k per year with the additional advertising revenue and audience…. Just sayin’…. 🤣🤣🤣 -

Hopefully it will stop half the team from looking up like a bunch of prairie dogs to get a coach’s audible from the sideline. -
I reported the spam posted by our friend from India, but then, how do I report or block the profile?

Favorite Player/Player Most Rooting for in 2024
irishwavend replied to InLikeFlynn's topic in Notre Dame Football
Rico Flores…. He was my favorite player in a while… 😩😢😭😭😭 -
Unfortunately, USC was pretty bad this year, otherwise I think that game would’ve been higher. We didn’t really play too many intriguing games that outsiders would want to watch. Colorado drew a lot of ratings a below average team ordinarily wouldn’t draw, so I wonder how that factored into the numbers.

New Athletic Director Pete Bevacqua Era Begins
irishwavend replied to FaithInIrish Forever's topic in Notre Dame Football
A dude is a dude…that’s not changing. I think we’ve seen a lot of boomerang on the woke. Let’s just hope NBC and its alumnus at the helm of ND sports recognize that pushback and that it’s what most people want. Also, that’s not 1974…that’s 2018. Most of this crap didn’t happen until around 2019 and then exploded in 2020. Whether it’s womens golf banning men playing against women, or it’s a black Harvard professor going public about his study showing there is no police racial bias in shootings, the tide is turning. In the end, I just want to watch football…sports is escapism from all the other crap. They should keep it that way. -

Have I been drinking…? Obviously… but, I don’t get it…do these guys just love St Patrick’s Day? Or, what…? -
How this dude still gets paid to talk is beyond me…he is wrong on so many topics, yet nobody holds him accountable…. It’s amazing. I should create a website that lists these guys’ statements and then lists the actual result…. You’ll find that so many of them are overpaid morons.
-
Give him the length of time Garrett gets to speak and your opinion may change. Plus, he carries himself like a woke kid. It was a little too much for me. I agree that Garrett isn’t great but he’s way better than Mayock…. Let’s not do that again. Haha

Collinsworth was awful. I was excited as soon as I saw his name.
-
Obviously….because it’s clearly Gruden….

I have always felt like the ladies have understood that statement so much more than the men, because there really isn’t anything after college for them athletically.

After multiple decades doing this…. “Silent” should be on the banned list of vocabulary words…. Arrelious Benn, among many others, were “silents”…. Let’s just call them “likely to commit”… -
Better than mine who has everything ever sold on QVC….like seriously…do we need a rice cooker…? Isn’t that what a pot and pan are for…? Pancake maker? Again, pan…. 😜😜😜 At least your wife contributes to ND Football for you…haha
