  1. I been going to B&G game for years. I know it isn’t much to watch but after going through the winter with no college football watching the game takes me to a happy place.😊 https://fightingirish.com/2024-blue-gold-game-set-for-april-20/
  2. We sure could use an OL . Maybe Tyler could talk to this guy from Alabama. https://apple.news/A3EQUwVAMQKGqC5BoAQDtRQ
  3. I agree on your thinking that it looks like Parker will be back. But I still hoping for something to happen after the bowl games with our OC position. Maybe like tneun89 posted appoint a co-offensive coordinator.
  4. Yes I live in Syracuse and I heard Golden is one of their top candidates. God only knows why anyone would want to coach at Syracuse …..besides $
  5. I am not a recruiting expert but i remember reading an article many months ago which Scott talked about his top choices. I felt after reading his assessment of his top schools that NDs chances of landing Him were slim.
  6. If you read down in the attached article about Arizona’s Athletic Department financial troubles one of the possible options is to sell the athletic department to an outside company……I understand funding sports has always been an issue but I think things have gotten even more out of control ( I.e. coaches multi million dollar contracts, or facilities costs). Player’s (NIL $) and coaches money increases while athletic department go under…..scary for college sports https://apple.news/AerpYLGIJSP6u0s1clARwaQ
  7. I couldn’t agree more. I made the trip from NY and I am excited to cheer for ND. It’s 4:00 the rain has stopped but looks like it could start up again any minute. Temperature is about 50 degrees with a decent wind blowing. I think this weather is better for ND. My prediction ND wins this one.
  8. I agree with you in that we need a balance offense and use the RPO more, which I have seen very little of this year. I am not sure why guys think we can consistently run the ball with 9 men in the box. STOP drinking the kool-aide guys our offense line is NOT that good that we can be one-dimensional team. You can be one dimensional against Navy, Tennessee St., or central Michigan sure not the big boys…...not USC.
  9. @tneun89 I agree with your assessment. I just wish that Freeman knowing his weakness, that he is not an offensive guy, would have tried harder to hire the best possible OC to help him and not settle for an unproven friend. I know that is easier said than done. This is where the AD needed to step in and help the first time head coach realize he needed an experienced and proven OC.
  10. I guess it would matter how we beat USC. We probably all agree that USC is beatable with a great offensive of which their QB is their best player. So let’s say Williams gets hurt in their first possession and we squeak out a W. That doesn’t impress me much. But now let’s say Williams doesn’t get hurt. We just physically dominate and crush them. That would IMPRESS me and I would have to rethink firing the coaching staff…..lol
  11. Freeman has acknowledged that his entire career was on the defensive side of the ball. That he was going to need help learning the offense side. That is why ND knew with a Freeman hire they needed a good OC. When Tommy left that was ND opportunity to help Freeman by spending the money to get the best OC possible.
  12. I think it was just bad play calling especially on short yardage situations. What the hell was he doing calling that play to Tyree where we fumbled. Also the sweep to Love when the defense was stacked against it. Good plays maybe but they were being called at the wrong time.
  13. On top of that they have midterms. I know from being just a student at ND midterms can be mentally exhausting. They really needed a bye last week.
  14. I believe you correct. That the 10 second runoff penalty would be called only if ND used a penalty to stop the clock with under 1 1/2 minutes left. Since the clock was already stopped because of an incomplete pass the penalty would only be half the distance to the goal. Believe me I am not pointing fingers but I just can’t believe no other player noticed for two plays that someone was missing.
  15. Worst part of The game for me. I sold my 3 extra tickets ( the seats are right next to mine) to a DD member @NDFBL19 so he could take family members to the game. This is what ended up sitting next to me. I had to listen to them for an entire game. Worst game of my life. I had to apologize to the other season ticket holders that sat around us.
  16. What I liked is that a couple of the positions that I was concerned about performed better then I thought they would. 🎩🎩First two hats off to the DB’s I thought they played very good. Harper, Brown, Henderson, Morrison and Watts. 🎩Second one hat off to the receivers we weren’t seeing much production from. Staes, Merriweather, Tyree(65 yard play) and I even throw in Greathouse he’s not a surprise anymore but still he a true freshman
  17. Below is the snap count for games 1 and 2. Looks like he’s third in snap count. Like Faith said next year …. Linebackers (8): JD Bertrand: 41, 37 Marist Liufau: 45, 32 Jaylen Sneed: 27, 22 Jack Kiser: 34, 14 Jaiden Ausberry: 0, 14 Preston Zinter: 0, 5 Tre Reader: 0, 3 Cole Aubrey: 0, 1
  18. I watched part of it and I agree with your overall assessment. Stanford passing game looking pretty decent their tight end #84 had a great game.
