  1. She sounds like a strong woman, Jesse. Tell her that we're all inspired by her and pulling for her continued improvement!
  2. what is there to say? We did it in every part of the game, all game. Dominant in the trenches.
  3. My father had a stroke in '91. Though he never returned to work, we had a wonderful quality of life for the next 28 years. Hoping that and more for you and your wife.
  4. This thrills me to no end. We're gonna kick his teeth in 3-4 times in his career.
  5. https://www.elevenwarriors.com/the-big-ten/2022/08/132119/cbs-and-nbc-reportedly-in-line-to-replace-espn-as-big-ten-s-secondary-tv-partners that NBC bit 👀
  6. Way back in '06, Chris Donald and Ben Martin spurned ND and committed to the Vols. Both were legit blue chips and I was so pissed, it ruined a day of vacation my wife and were on. I just had a foul mood all day. The silver lining is that every time ND takes a blow on the recruiting trail, I can think of Ben Martin and Chris Donald and how they were absolute busts. 90% of the time, it chills me out every time.
  7. Yeah, it could definitely go this way. Not sure if that would improve things (whatever that means) but this is a distinct possibility.
  8. I agree that they're classified as non-profits. But, I imagine that we agree that they are not, in practice, non-profits. Of course, it's worth noting that, technically, NIL does not come from programs or conferences but, rather, 3rd parties (which is also, obviously, not how it plays out). I'm also with you on federal intervention. This cannot improve the situation (and I would hope that they have better things to do). Of course, there's probably money in it, so it's likely that they stick their nose in it.
  9. I get it. I was halfway through my own comment before deleting it and posting that suggestion. Cheers!
  10. The NCAA's existence is funded by C FB and BB conferences/programs (administrations, ath departments, players, sponsors). These conferences/programs are, for all intents and purposes, for-profit enterprises. They will only agree to be governed by a body that governs them in a way that is most agreeable to them (short of federal regulations and/or the customers funding the enterprise forcing a behavior change).
  11. Hot dawg, this staff can recruit. Great to see us having a WR coach that can recruit after the drought of the last few years.
  12. I'd say that the lack of an announced immediate move to the BigDigit is a loud and clear decision (for now).
  13. Conversely, if he's not banking on a life-sustaining amount of NFL earnings, does he want the financial security of an ND degree?
  14. Or he's determined to play for an actual west coast team. 😎
  15. I'm not talking dollar value. I'm talking selling guaranteed, national television audiences to recruits. And, is the argument that NBC will suddenly shut us out, after the DavInghEis years?
  16. Mostly agree but the NBC contract can't possibly be overrated. ...it's huge part of our sales pitch to talent and can't be comfortably incorporated into conferences (thus, these wonky conference arrangements we keep trying to maintain).
  17. My hope is that this would make life better for ND as there would effectively be a larger pool of "independents" (e.g., teams in afterthought conferences). But, I guess time will tell.
  18. Kinda feel like it means that super conferences are finalizing.
  19. Live look at Heistand Jagusah is a huge get. Super thrilled to get him and hope the significance isn't buried under him having been viewed as a foregone conclusion. #coffeeis4closers
  20. I'm no oline expert and I can't put my fingers on it, but Jagusah gives me distinct Rosenthal vibes. Keep my 🤞 for a good result this week.
