  1. Testing: Edit: Nope, not yet, but I believe the very next software upgrade will add the ability. The software is ready to push out, but I'm just waiting on the couple plugins I use to update for compatibility before upgrading.
  2. Hey faith! Yes you can. There should be an option to do it at the top of the page and a thread, or from a forum itself. I'm on the road right now, but here's a screenshot how to do it in the thread itself. But just send me a message so having trouble and I'll take a look at permissions when I'm back at the computer.
  3. Hey Texas! Just closed the poll yesterday, but I'll re-open it so more people can vote
  4. Alrighty, calling dark theme the winner!
  5. If it's from the web, you should be able to right click and copy. And then adding a message here, just right click and paste.
  6. Appreciate it @Irish Chris! There's a learning curve, but it'll be better for everyone in the long run. I'm pretty confident about that. Thanks!
  7. This is pretty balanced so far. Excluding me, that's 3 for light theme and 3 for dark theme! ?
  8. Hey Domers! The next version of the Software is in Beta, which means in a few weeks / months, we'll be ready to upgrade. Don't worry, this will be extremely minor in comparison to the last update, and these typically happen once a year, occasionally twice. Each new version is usually 7 - 10 months apart. And these upgrades are usually focused around bug fixes & new features. Some of the bigger features to expect: Achievements - I have no idea how I'm going to incorporate them, but should be able to have some fun with it Web app & Push Notifications - This is something you will be able to enable if you choose, allowing notifications on your mobile device or desktop computer. Also so it isn't overwhelming, it will keep related notifications merged into one. This will be optional for those who choose to opt-in. Spam improvements - New features to help prevent spammers from registering There will be much more, but if you'd like to see the full list in the changelog, you can do so here. I will let you know when to expect the updates, and most members probably won't even notice the update has taken place. Like I said, the new version is in Beta, but I will be waiting until the stable version rolls out, as well as making sure any apps / plugins being used is compatible. Thanks everyone!
  9. EDIT 8/16/2021: Moving this to the main forum to get more eyes on it before the season begins. At the very bottom of the page, there's a 'Theme' dropdown where you should be able to choose Light (Default) or Dark Theme. I created themes for both Dark & Light themes, but want your feedback. Which would you like to make the default for users? Please vote! Personally, I like the Dark Theme better. But whatever has the highest vote count will become the default. Thanks all! Edit: I should also add, even though the default may change (or may not), you can still use whichever you prefer. The option for Dark & Light Theme will remain in the Theme selection.
  10. Got it updated on the calendar. Thanks @FaithInIrishForever!

    Republicans?

This is the most accurate take I've seen on the subject. Both parties need to take action and work together if we ever want to get anywhere.
  12. I knew the Bills got a good set. And they're probably my number 2 team since there's so many former Panthers and Panther staff over there. McDermott I knew would succeed. And Beane was the Panthers GM in training for years. And the Bills hired him literally a month / months before we left our GM go. I'm still a little bitter about that. Carolina messed that up big time, but the new GM for this year (from Seattle) has been making all the right moves so I have a reason to be optimistic again.
  13. No offense to anyone, but I was terrified of Carolina (my pro team) taking Clausen that year, and of course they did. But not in the 1st. They took him in the middle of the second round, and our GM at the time (Marty Hurney) went on record saying he tried to trade the next year's first rounder (ended up being #1 overall / Cam Newton) to move up in the 2nd round to take him. That would've erased a TON of great seasons, including a 15-1 Super Bowl appearance, from the history books. So I'm a little salty about Pickles.
  14. Kiper's thoughts aren't worth much at all in my experience. ?
  15. As a Panthers fan, I LOVE the Tremble pick!
  16. I'm shocked that he fell out of the first round was well. Felt that Parsons and JOK were a clear #1 and #2 at their positions. Somebody is going to get a steal early in the second round.
  17. I'm a Panthers fan and can't believe they were THAT CLOSE to getting Sewell.
  18. I've been working with the forum developers regarding old tweets being broken, where they now show a feed instead of the intended individual tweet. Looks like they'll be finished working on this and by end of day today or early tomorrow. There hasn't been any word regarding downtime, so it should quietly be fixed in the background. Just wanted to give a heads-up in the off-chance there is some brief downtime to update the old posts. Thanks all! cc: @Big23Head since I know you have a lot of legacy content like this. Hopefully everything (outside of what you already manually fixed) is working correctly, soon.
  19. Is it fixed? I was trying to find a translation option for a new member, who speaks Spanish, that probably broke something. I just disabled the second language option on the site. Is it good now?
  20. For the time being, I added the games for this season as 'events' in the Calendar. Here's a link to it (also in the main menu under forums), but I'll see if there's a way to better incorporate it closer to the season. There's also an option to mark as 'Going', 'Maybe' or 'Decline', as well.
  21. Thanks for the feedback @soulpatch! I have spent more time working on this one thing than anything else with the site, believe it or not. It's a big pet peeve of mine, too, and seems to mostly be an issue with embedded tweets. This is normal behavior since a script runs whenever you scroll past the tweet. The only effective measure I found was to disable 'lazy loading'. Lazy loading is a feature to make a page load quicker. Images, embeds, etc. don't load until you scroll to them on the page. The only problem is, it slightly slows down the webpage. I haven't noticed the difference, but Google punishes slow-loading pages. Honestly, I think it might have a negative effect on pages with lots of twitter embeds. Ideally, I wish I could just disable lazy loading for Twitter embeds, but I don't see an option for that. I'm going to disable lazy loading again, and bug you for your thoughts after it finishes rolling out again. I appreciate the feedback! My efforts to make this work: Changing caching methods Enable something called railgun delivery Change to cloudflare for content delivery Remove Lazy Loading Also related: Legacy Twitter posts from the old software didn't transfer over properly. I am actively working with the forum developers to get this rectified. Instead of the embedded tweet loading, it's a string of tweets. I'm hoping they can get that cleaned up for me. EDIT: Lazy Load is now disabled. Please let me know if this is any better for you. Thanks again!
  22. It's a fine-line that I'm doing my best to walk. I want to make sure the experience isn't frustrating for anyone. Anything that supports the site feels warranted, but not forced. Some perks for supporters, but nothing that limits non-supporters. If I ever make a wrong judgement on something, call me out. I'm very open to feedback. I'm not perfect, but I always try to think about how I react if these changes were made to a forum / website I visited.
  23. Just responded in the other thread.
  24. Hi @NYGoldenDomer! Nice to meet ya! I might see where things go / re-evaluate after the season, but I already bought a year's license for the Marketplace, which I added over the weekend. Right now it only has a category for tickets, but I might expand to cover other areas if there's interest. The Marketplace added will allow Members to list and buy through the website. Listings are free for everyone, with 'Featured' listings free for site supporters. If payment is made through the forum Marketplace, there's a 10% commission in place to help cover the costs associated with everything, but members are free to negotiate and Mark as 'sold' if agreed upon via PM. If you want to send me a PM, I wouldn't mind checking out the hockey forums' marketplace.
