IMO he was afraid to face the work load he won't have to do at Houston and was afraid to compete. D Daniels is our guy along with the other great W/R we brought in this class.

This is frustrating to see ND in the top 2 or 3 for many top notch players, and we can't land a commit. Who will be our next commit? Will it be before Fall practice starts or will it be after the season starts? I hate this time of the the season!! I'll change my face now that we have landed a Defender.

Mathers plays against some pretty good competition in Middle Tennessee. I've watched him several games in person. He's the real deal. He reminds me a lot of Lee Becton and uses that shoulder dip to perfection. He would be a more than solid get for this class. I would love to see him in a gold helmet.

Not sure...but if you go to the UND videos and watch the interview with Tommy Rees, very late in the the video. Gunner walks behind the camera with someone. Looks to be a Mom and Dad with ND staff on a recruiting visit. The kid looks much taller and very thick upper body. Not sure...looks like from what I can tell from a mug shot on the recruiting boards.

If FSU is lying to the Kid in these early stages, just think how many times they'll lie to him in 4 years. IMO if he comes to ND...he'll see PT next year, maybe not as a starter.

Sorry if posted already. After our great weekend with commits, I thought i'd do some research on Kelly's recruiting classes in the past. I've read postings on multiple sites about the dissatisfaction with our commits and the 3 star ratings. This is called "Coaching them UP!" Kelly took over Cinci in Dec 2006 so he less than two months to recruit. YEAR Recruiting Rank Commits Commit Rankings W/L Record 2006 108th 19 17-2 star, 1-3 star, 1-N/R 2007 89th 23 17-2 star, 6-3 star 10-3 2008 67th 24 18-2 star, 6-3 star 11-3 2009 60th 25 15-2 star, 8-3 star, 2-4 star 12-1 Believe me...it wasn't pretty earlier than 2006 before Kelly got to Cinci. With that 4 year period in mind 79% of the team are 2 star kids, with the rest mostly 3 star. Either he sees talent that others in the profession don't or He can Coach...possibly both would be my opinion. So quit the damn whining about the 3 star kids. Kelly and this staff are the real deal. I'll take a 33-7 record over the next 3 years.

He's 10th now, if we land him, he'll drop to 24th. If he went to Florida he'd be pushed up to the number 2 spot. I'd much rather save the scollie for D.
