  1. Nice run by Cierre! Yes 28 yards ! 15 yards by Floyd! To the 20!
  2. Nice job by the offense. That was a really good drive. USC was tough on D, and we were able to come thru. Now the defense needs to hold!
  3. I agree with this. The floater to Floyd was a head scratcher.
  4. Floyd choked there! He had that touchdown and he bobbled it!
  5. We are slowly making it down field.,,, At least we're making it down field.
  6. I really have a hard time watching this game. The USC game every year gets my nerves all tied up. I have a hard time staying in the room watching this!
  7. I would probaby start running Hughes also. Obviously the passing game isn't working. Or we need to take a shot or two deep. USC is cutting off the short passes. Brian needs to adjust! He's not! Almost intercepted! Good defense!
  8. The O Line is the same it's been all year. It's not a good running line. USC has 7-8 in the box. We're not going to run against this. Now they overload on the TE routes on 3rd down. Unfortunately, it is on Rees right now. That's what USC is doing. IT's really simple. He has time, he jsut needs to settle down. They;re not blitzing
  9. If I were USC, just play field position. they just punted, and we're on the 6. Rees needs to get a few first downs. USC's approach should be contain everyone else, let Rees make mistakes or win the game.
  10. Rees will need help today. He isn't composed. Our only hope is that Mustaine chokes too.
  11. I think the coaching stability statement wasn't a jab at Brian, or discussing Rich Rod. I think it had to do with Fred Jackson. I think he was told by the UM AD that Fred Jackson is staying, regardless of what happens. This is all Justice needed to hear. that's his caching "stability" at MI.
  12. The det news article had Justice saying that he really likes Fred Jackson. He also thinks that even if Rich od is let go, that MI will keep Fred Jackson. Odd where he got this info from. Wonder if it came from Brandon.
  13. I don't think ND's staff pushed Justice away. I think he sees the writing on the wall, that he wasn't going to be the featured back. If we wanted significant playing time it would be at a different position. I think he's choosing MI becuase it's familiar. He has no clue what the future holds for MI coach.
  14. Feel bad for Justice. ND looks like his first choice, but because huggins is now on the front burner, Justice chooses to bail due to competition. Then he chooses Mich, which is not a stable place to choose right now, but really it's the only other place he wants to go. he's an 18 year old struggling with his choices and future. Wish him well -- hopefully he figures it out.
  15. That was great! I wonder if he meant to blame the players, or he sees it as a reflection on his/his coaching staff's abilities.
  16. Glad to see Barkley is playing. Don't want any excuses
  17. I think it's going to be tough to win. We are playing well, but it is an away game in a hostile crowd for a 18 year old Freshman. Now he's surprising me, but it's still a tough road. Also, USC will be fired up for this too. I wonder if part of their lay down last Saturday was because they were looking to our game next Sat.... I just think it will be tough. We've lost 8 years in a row.
  18. I went to ND during the Holtz era. I wish we did the green more often. Make it fun. Make it something that happens yearly for a certain game. It doesn't need to be a big game or a motivational thing. The green for the Feista bowl was a waste. I think green now is when you're reaching;when you know you are an underdog. Forget that. The green jerseys are cool. Make it fun, not drama. I wish green for more not less. How about once a year, but the game is a surprise.
  19. ItishTom - I Agree! Wear the green. It looks great and we don't wear it enough. It adds an extra excitement to the game. This is a big venue - national game at night. Of course wear them! When else??????
  20. Well, it's just supposition, but if Rees were starting from day one, we might have a better record!
  21. MB thanks for sharing. However, I hope Ev picks ND!
  22. Oh the short memories on this board. Doesn't anyone remember all the complaints in the first few games about Smith, slaughter Motta out of position. Wht about all the bad angles, what about the biting on the play action (for a safety - embarrassing). Most of that is gone now. Why? Because of the coaching that Martin has put in. It takes a season to develop players and change their instinct. All good defenses take a year or two to put in place, and that's because it takes time to change instinct. Also, what about the injuries this year. We were down to two safeties early on. We need depth. I don't want to go thru that again. Also, weren't we saying about three games ago that Harrison played the best game of his career? What about this one now? I would say he WAS average at best. I would say he's developing into a good safety, and if he stays, he could be a drafted safety. Yes, you heard it here. drafted. So he needs to stay for us and for him.
