  1. Notre Dame will win by at least 2 touchdowns
  2. Russell practiced? Daniels tweeting? Big news tonight? What's going on?
  3. Daniels and his father are pleading innocent and we've all heard rumors of Russell's girlfriend only editing their work. It's sure better than hearing rumors of them transferring to UNC or rumors of this really being a scandal. I'm holding on to hope, after all the school was founded on faith Ya gotta believe..
  4. let me reiterate.. Tommy as the starter would be the worst case scenario. Best case is that Everette Golson takes charge and becomes the dynamic difference maker that we have all been dreaming about. I personally think that if Golson is not the starter he will be at minimum a significant contributor to this teams success.
  5. Worst case scenario is that Notre Dame will have a returning two year starter taking the snaps. That is the worst case scenario. Doesn't sound too bad to me. The defensive backs have not been an Irish strength for years and will not be this year, but I believe the defense as a whole will be slightly improved. There is no doubt that special teams will be much improved and I'm sure that we will take better care of the football this year. With better QB play, strong defense, much improved special teams, and less turnovers, I am optimistic for an exciting and productive season. Go Irish!
  6. All the great fans on NDnation will be calling for Kellys head for not running the ball every single down.
  7. We all want The Irish to win so badly to prove that good can overcome evil in the sense that real student athletes can be the best on the field and off. Instead of the media shedding light on the importance of an education for young athletes, we get to watch ESPN glorify a school that recruited a bunch of convicts from the ghetto that carried guns and could'nt read or write to play football and display the worst sportsmanship possible. With all the grime associated with sports these days, we need Old Notre Dame to win over all now more than ever before. Notre Dame, Our Mother, Pray for us...
  8. but man o man, how many times did Allen or Hughs have to come out of the game? I dont think the RB starting a drive was hardly ever able to finish it. We have players constantly taking themselves out of the game. Has anyone ever heard of a players ability to take a big hit and bounce right back up? Those players are the guys that spend more time in the weight room. They are better conditioned. We Have not had that kind of guy lately. We will next year. If we all got together and played some tackle football, guess who whould be pulling up lame and be hurting like hell tomorrow? For the most part, those of us that are not well conditioned
  9. But Charlie knew so little about the college game and fundamentals that it was as obvious as the snot bubble coming out of his nose. No coach knows everything, and no coach is to big to take advice. The difference is that Weis was so lost, all he did was seek advice. Special teams, how to use a running quarterback. These are things every college head coach should know and teach, not seek out eveyone elses opinion. Weis, Davie, and Faust had one thing in common; they all were learning on the job. Lou Holtz and Brian Kelly also have one thing in common, they will come to ND with a proven successful philosophy and coaching style. It is no secret that our team was soft. Everyone wants Kelly to bring along his strength and conditioning coach for a reason. Believe it or not a soft team that is not physical is very injury prone. I dont mean to be kicking Weis while he is down, Im just excited for the much needed change that Kelly will bring.
  10. I heard an interview with coach Holtz and he said, "As much as I love Notre Dame, they tend to think that any coach can win there." He talked about ND hiring a highschool coach, a devensive co., a guy with little experience at Stanford, and a Offensive co. from the NFL. He stated that when he came to ND, nobody had to give him any advice on how to run a football program, because he already knew how. Like Lou Holtz, Brian Kelly knows how to coach every aspect of the game, including coaching his assistants. He is a tough disceplinarian, a motivator, and will have his team in top physical condition. Unlike Weis, he will not be taking trips to WVA or V Tech to learn different things. Kelly already served his intenship at other schools and was very successful in doing so. I look for this team to be less injury prone, make less mental errors, and be much better on special teams. The Offense and Defense will have unity and there will be a noticable change in the teams overall attitude and toughness. Kelly wont look for advice, he will give it. Very soon at Notre Dame, everyone will know who is in charge. Im thankful for this hire. God knows ND has been in desperate need of a great leader. GO IRISH
  11. Glad to be here, The only good thing about this search is that it has allowed me to find a few different ND boards Go Irish VossNorway
