  1. On the "overrated" bit, one of the ND writers tweeted that ND has finished ahead of its preseason ranking in 5 or 6 of the last 7 seasons. So we're actually overperforming our preseason ranking, which is a positive trend.
  2. Chris Badger who ended up going to BYU. Not sure if he ever took his mission or not, but he was LDS and I think planned on it.
  3. Ya, he's done. Him and Hinish were the only two guys DONE DONE, I think.
  4. Kahanu Kia is officially leaving for his two year mission. His scholarship will not count while he is away on his mission.
  5. while the report is likely clout chasing bullshit, shepherd is clearly a real candidate for the position. I don’t think he’s even formally interviewed yet. Jamarcus Shepherd coached Rondale Moore and David Bell at Purdue, two pretty damn good WRs. I think we have a lot of raw material for him to work with as Styles, Colzie, Thomas, Merriweather all seem to be very talented. It’ll be interesting to see how much the new WR coach can refine Lenzy in the next year, who will be playing motivated for an NFL future.
  6. Seeing some non-verified Twitter chatter that Shepard will be the next WR coach. Who knows until more reliable sources post, but something to keep an eye on.
  7. I saw where the reports may have been jumping the gun and he still plans to interview w ND this week.
  8. Slightly off topic, but I’d love to see #7 become the number all of our top pass rushers want (Tuitt, Foskey).
  9. "They see me as a Kyle Hamilton replacement," Joseph said. "Kyle was able to do a lot for this defense last year. He made impact plays, I see myself in that role. They are going to move me around and use me in different positions and roles to maximize what I can do to help this defense every way possible. Another promising quote in that the coaching staff is effectively using Hamilton's success to recruit, something we've seen the coaches do for years at OT and TE. While this is always assumed, it is good to hear they are actively doing this and it is starting to pay dividends with Joseph, Bowen, and Shuler.
  10. https://www.si.com/college/notredame/football/northwestern-safety-brandon-joseph-transfers-to-notre-dame-football "That was crucial," Joseph said of the defensive line's role in his decision. "It's no question that the defensive line was part of my decision making process. Having a defensive line that can be disruptive takes away so many problems of mine (as a safety) ... They are going to be my best friends this offseason." Joseph mentions the DL as a big reason for picking ND. Reading the tea leaves here and what many have said throughout the week, I think we can expect good news on Foskey. Just a hunch.
  11. Wagner hurt his shoulder this week and is behind a 5* mountain of a man in Goodwin. All in all, I don't put much stock in these games especially at OL and LB based on what the experts say about the games.
  12. //I'll second the Motion. I think Saban's piles of trophies next to Harbaugh's pile of 1 win against Ohio St. would be enough to end that argument quickly. If not, it'd be easy to point out that Saban has won the SEC and gotten to the playoff seemingly every year in a MUCH harder conference than Michigan. NFL coach? Sure, I'll entertain Harbaugh being a better NFL coach.
  13. Pay Day Douglas is a sick name.
  14. As posted in many other threads, both the twins Ademiola are returning.
