  1. OK, how about Aldridge? He weighs more than TT. Get him his first Touchdown. Why? Does he need a pat on the back? He might. Football is a game of confidence as much as it is a physical game. How about build some confidence in the guys that will be here for a few more years than give it to TT.

  3. No it's not a joke. Give the freshmen a chance to complete what they started.
  4. Ok. Im happy we scored a touchdown and all. But wtf????????? Allen and Alridge work all day, work there asses off. And we get inside the 5 and put TT in? Where's the payoff for the guys who have been doing it all day?????????????????????????????????????????? Man I'm so frustrated right now. Oh, and does anyone have the feeling that we scored too soon. I had that feeling against USC in 2005 when Brady went in for the score. Sure hope they don't pop a big play.
  5. Keep running the ball. Keep giving it to Allen and Aldridge.
  6. How can we not have any wide receivers open? How can a DIAA school throw for over 450 yards and the mighty ND can't manage to complete a pass in the entire second half?
  7. Here's an idea. When you are getting sacked, you should tuck the bal away. Wow, what a novel idea.
  8. We have got to score on this drive...If we don't Navy can hold on to the ball the rest of the game and score.
  9. How do our linebackers get dominated by their wide receivers?
  10. Sure hope we score on every possession cuz there is no way we are going to stop Navy.
  11. Anybody else notice the student section is not even close to full???? What is that all about????
  12. Yeah, the quote was from Lemming. I can't find a link at the moment.
  13. Well, some people are predicting several transfers at the end of the year. And at this point I wouldn't doubt it. So, I say the more the marrier.
  14. That's horrible news. My thoughts are with the Hughes family during this trying time. Instances like this show just how unimportant football truly is in the grand scheme of things.
  15. I'm hoping Navy comes in thinking "this is the year" and as a result tries to force things and gets cute and as a result makes a bunch of mistakes b/c they think ND is so bad. Granted, we are bad, but playing the #1 toughest schedule in the country has also made us look worse than we probably are.
  16. I agree with what your saying Calves and i agree that Charlie is doing what is best for the program now and into the future. I'm just afraid of what kind of message it sends, not only to those guys who have put in 5 years, but to the young guys as well. I certainly think it can build some animosity in the older guys and maybe give the wrong impression to the younger guys. But, if there is a division in the locker room like has been rumored, maybe the young guys couldn't care less about the older guys still getting practice and playing time.
  17. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not. Does everyone remember how Charlie talked at the beginning of the year about not rebuilding and oweing that to the seniors. Now what does this say to them? I'm pretty sure everyone has a great understanding of what this season has been and the only thing left to play for is pride and the future. Now, a couple of the 5th year guys might play in the NFL. But, I hope those that aren't won't just be cast aside in the next 4 games in favor of building the future. Charlie still owes them enough to finish out their careers on the field. Now, if Charlie is just doing this last week and this week will be game prep as usual, than I just stuck my foot in my mouth.
  18. Good read on Floyd.Shows a dedicated, hard-working young man who leads by example. Just the kind of guy ND needs to keep recruiting: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/highschool/10/26/michael.floyd/index.html
  19. That's great Rock! Good job! I can't wait for these guys to get on campus. Seems weird that Filer is taller. Both Fleming and Filer are listed as 6'3" and Cwynar is 6'4". Also, right before Filer committed he was on campus walking around with Ianello I think, and he was much shorter than him. But, maybe Ianello is exceptionally tall.
  20. Yeah, those comments make me a little uneasy. But it's easy for people to sit back and pick apart an 18 year old kids statements. I sure as hell know that I wasn't thinking about the ramifcations of every single word that came out of my mouth when I was 18. These kids aren't professional politicians. They don't know the absolute right way to answer questions. Journalists on the other hand are paid to ask manipulative questions to try and confuse kids.
  21. liars.. Gary Gray hasn't played (unless I really missed somethin) Sorry, it did specifically mention GG in the same article, just not in the section I posted.
  22. The following is a quote from the South Bend Tribune: Weis said if he does not play them against Navy, that's the cutoff point in his mind for using them this year. They would then have a year of eligibility preserved and be candidates to exercise a fifth-year option down the road. The six who have not played are offensive linemen Taylor Dever and Andrew Nuss, safety Harrison Smith, defensive lineman Emeka Nwankwo and inside linebackers Steve Paskorz and Aaron Nagel. Answers most of our questions.
  23. I still want someone to put a new twist on the mohawk. I think they should do a sideways mohawk and then grow out their beard, that way you will look like you have a lion's mane. HAHAHAH
