5* CB Domani Jackson Decommits from USC

A bit off-topic, but pretty remarkable that the NCAA's punishment was a far cry short of the Death Penalty yet it still managed to cast a program adrift. USC has been wandering in the wilderness ever since.

I think part of USC's problem is really good coaches are few and far between.  Good coaches make dumps like Tuscaloosa attractive to young players.  Mediocre coaches like Helton are what USC has had largely since Carroll left to avoid sanctions and retry the NFL.  Winning is hard, even at USC.  Sarkisian was not that successful and hasn't succeeded at Texas yet.  Orgeron did not succeed at USC and without Burrow and others in a supporting cast at LSU would not have won the national championship.

USC 5-star decommits after Helton left.  He went on visits to Alabama and Michigan.  Any chance Notre Dame has a shot?

He is likely going to end up at Alabama. Michigan has an outside shot, though.

ND was never really involved. MF actually contacted him a couple of months ago to check in and see if he had any interest after Helton was fired, but there was not any on his end.
