College Football Transfer Portal Discussion
brian_nd88 replied to NYGoldenDomer's topic in Around the NCAA
He just wants to play football. At least, he got his ND degree. I doubt that he sees a considerable amount of action at Missouri. He should probably have set his sites on a MAC school or similar level of competition, but I hope he gets what he wants. -
Spring Football 2024: Blue-Gold game set for April 20

When is Evans supposed to be able to play again? -
Thanks. That makes sense.

Interesting pick up. It does not hurt our numbers, but how does he even have any eligibilty left? I must misunderstand the rule, but I thought a player has four years of eligibility to complete typically within five years. Wouldn't Goins' time have run out?
-
I read that he has an offer from Central Michigan. Maybe being closer to home will help him.
-
Excellent! Did he get hurt in the game today? It seemed like he might have when he sacked their QB. Any news?
-
Excellent news. Welcome aboard Mr. Black. What's the chance we get WI OT Owen Strebig to join him?
-
Wouldn't it be at best a lateral move for Denbrock to come back to ND as OC? What would be the attraction? Why would he leave LSU?
-
I wonder if coaching at Troy is that great of a gig from ND OC. In other words, was Parker pressured to move on.
-
I wonder what Landow has that makes him the best choice? Of course, that could be driven in part by Synoptico's question. I wonder whether his time in the NFL will translate to conditioning for ND. I hope that it will.
-
Smart move by Mills. If Watts is back, it is because he likely will make more from ND through NIL for his last season than he would as a rookie in the NFL.

Incoming Player Transfers (2023-24)

Good for him. -
I think that Mills has more to benefit in terms of NFL draft potential by returning for 2024 than Watts, but I would gladly have both back.

I wonder if one reason cross came back for next year is that he knew Oben was going to transfer to ND. It will clearly be an NBC story during one of the games. -
Good luck to Alt. Has he earned his degree yet?

Incoming Player Transfers (2023-24)

I think with ND's resources and fanatical alums that it needs to be more aggressive in utilizing NIL and the transfer portal. At times, it seems like ND has been a little slow in processing the new world it faces. -
It would be great to have Watts back next year. I just wonder if the NFL is the goal whether he can improve his stock any at this point in time.

So you're saying there's a chance we will get him! LOL. -
Congratulations to him. Very deserving. Makes me think he will go pro.

Stuckey - Wild rumor from Bleacher Report poster
brian_nd88 replied to Hickory23's topic in Notre Dame Football
Interesting rumor. It has the veneer of plausibility. It seems to me in the past, students and players who were caught using marijuana were not expelled for the first offense, but I could be wrong or things may have changed. -
What are we looking for against Clemson?

Should ND Bring In a Transfer Portal QB?
brian_nd88 replied to VCDomer's topic in Notre Dame Football
Wasn't Russell Wilson a one and one at Wisconsin after leaving N.C. State. -
Notre Dame is at 15. It's interesting to me that Ohio State has the top spot. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/38789171/ohio-st-georgia-michigan-florida-st-atop-cfp-rankings
