  1. Very true. But it was a move that would have been for big bucks$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Glad he is sticking with Freeman who ha been joined to his hip for quite some time. They are on the same page and make a great recruitng team but I am sure he got a raise to say "NO" to the Skunkbears!
  2. Freeman is his biggest booster and best bud. Glad he is being l0yal to ND. He is the key to the recruiting program stepping up to the plate and siopping down the same aisle as the Big 10 and SEC. That's the same aisle Kelly would never go down.
  3. Has good genes. His Dad is Plaxico Burress, former NFL stud
  4. Rees will be new Tight Ends coach for the Cleveland Browns
  5. I hope so too. but there are quite a few openings already for DC's in the NFL if he wants to give it a go. Supposedly, there is a three-year contract extension for him on the table at ND but don't know if it contains no opt out for the pros language.
  6. Great pickup for ND! Great hands, great speed and plenty of wiggle to make tacklers miss. What a FIND -- an ALL-AMERICAN KR who will shine for ND in "Prime Time." no offense,, Coach Sanders!
  7. This kid and his twin brother, Teddy, are following in the footsteps of Xavier Watts as stud football players from Omaha
  8. Spot on about Kelly. Never showed up until the very last minute, then it was too late in many recruiting battles. As a matter of fact, he was on the final in-home visit with Merriweather and when he left he told the staff he was going to LSU. Surprised Merriweather even honored his commitment with that BS happening. Freeman can really stick to Kelly if he can convince Dembrcok, whom he and several ND coaches have coached with, to come back to ND to be its OC!!!!!
  9. Agree Big. He has a long-standing relationship with Freeman and Freeman would not tell him "I'll keep you this year but look for another opportunity". Every coach aspires to be a HC. Parker has coached at several Power 5 schools and getting the OC job at ND helped him get to the next level opportunity to a HC job and to get the interview for Troy. Troy is a great first HC job for him. It is a solid team with a good foundation built by the previous head coach who stepped up to Tulane and was a college teammate of Parker. I think he will do well there.
  10. Oben is Irish!!! Another great get in the portal filling a position of need.
  11. Oben has gotten a crystal ball with a confidence of 7 from a Duke insider
  12. Agree 100%. He is a great threat to run and he is fast !And at 6-4 can see the field better than any dual threat QB ND has had. Love that he is Irish!
  13. Great get for ND, Ranked as the #4 kicker in portal. South Carolina has been a hotbed of special teams standouts under Shane Beamer, and Mitch Jeter takes that standard into the transfer portal. He’s the only kicker in Gamecocks history to make two 50-yard field goals in the same game. He nailed a 51-yard attempt in 2023, completing 85.7% of his field goal attempts and 97.1% of his PATs in his final season plus has won numerous academic awards.
  14. Looks like Tyree is headed to UVA. Good choice, They are desperate for star athletes like him, He should shine brightly there.
  15. All ND fans and alumni in Omaha are very proud of this great honor achieved by X!!
  16. FIU WR Kris Mitchell has committed to Notre Dame as a grad transfer, Excellent bloodlines: One brother plays at Mississippi State and another at Penn State! Great get for the Irish!
  17. Day told him he could not commit to him as the bowl game starter. Nice job, Coach!
  18. Not so much for all the illegal immigrants flooding the border under Biden.
  19. His faith is very important to him that makes ND a perfect fit for him.
  20. Breaking: Clark has committed to ND! A four-star and top 30 cornerback out of H.S., in Louisiana, (same school as Ausberry.) His dad had a long, fruitful NFL career! The acorn doesn't fall far from the tree!
  21. Sources confirm to Football Scoop: Notre Dame has its new WR coach After Marcus Freeman made the seemingly unpopular and most definitely unexpected decision to fire Chansi Stuckey as Notre Dame's wide receivers coach days ago, Freeman now has his new coach for the position. Multiple sources tell FootballScoop that Mike Brown, who previously coached alongside Freeman at the University of Cincinnati, has been tabbed to fill Stuckey's role with the Fighting Irish. Brown was WR coach and associate head coach at Wisconsin this year unser Luke Fickell Matt Zenitz, of 247Sports, was first to report that Freeman and Notre Dame had dialed in their focus to hire Brown.
