  1. I was just on ESPN on my phone and they have a prediction of 4 reporters for week 9 playoff picks. Andrea Adleson, Edward Ashoff, Adam Rittenberg, and Mark Schlabach. They all have the Irish at #3. Bama, Georgia, ND, and Ohio State. Rittenberg has Oklahoma at 4. Nice to see ND at a unanimous 3, but we shall see when it plays out.
  2. Hey everybody! I have not been on here in quite a while. Looking forward to a new season of Irish football. Have fun today, and be safe all!!!
  3. An update for all on Tranquill to add to the momentum. Surgery went very well and he is well ahead of schedule on the rehab trail.
  4. He is good to go Tim. Spoke to him a couple weeks ago and he is pumped. Really looking forward to mixing it up in there! looked great.
  5. I will just say this. You guys are gonna love Drue Tranquill! Very fast and plays angry!
  6. Not 235. 230 or just a hair under. the 4.4's is true!
  7. Drue is not Jaylon. He is not as long or instinctive. Jaylon posesses things you just don't teach. That being said, Tranquill will be a very fast, very hard hitting, very nasty defender that ND nation will absolutely love. These guys will be laying the wood on folks this year!
  8. I talked to him last week and he is fired up. As far as I know, he is still looking at strong safety. He is absolutely ripped! If he learns his assignments and the D, he will be on the field this year. He is running mid 4.4's at 6'2 and 230!!!
  9. Sorry if I offended you, but I am in a position to "hear things". Just thought it was relevent to the conversation. I have not been wrong on info I have brought to this board. I need to be carefull of what I say and how I say it to be respectful of those I "hear things" from.
  10. I am hearing about some 15k additional seats as well. We will see, but this is going to be a huge project.
  11. He is between 210 and 215. Just a great and humble young man. He is very fast and does run a 4.4. Plays with a serious attitude. His stock has continued to rise over the last year and was awarded his fourth star at 24/7 recently. I think his ranking will rise on the other sites as well. Should be around 225 or 230 by the fall. ND nation will love this kid. His brother loves ND as well.
  12. He is having a monster year and has put on weight. Much of his gains have come in the last half year or so and I know Wisconsin is now interested. He is very athletic and is getting more so every week but does need to pack some on to play in the middle. He will be something else with his atheticism at 240!
  13. That was a blast meeting all of you guys up there Schel. May not make it back this year however. Still pitching though. Turned 50 on the 12th and hit 90 this year! Just got a new job at AWP where Jaylon, Eifert and Springmann all come work. Tranquill is also one of our guys so good luck to him!!
  14. That was a freaking lazer that Dawson hit! Had him 0-2, went to go up and in with heat, then down and away with a slider. Just went up on 0-2. Right down the middle. Pissed cause I got screwed on Grace and Webster right before his AB. Struck them both out looking and didn't get either pitch. Oh well. Used to ride to the yard every day with Dibble, Charlton, and Oliver. Definately blessed. Still not sure why I got sent down, but doesn't matter much now. Had no idea I had a wiki page but I did see an old batting glove of mine for sale on Ebay last year. Go figure!
  15. God is good Tim. So happy for you when I read this! Have a great weekend!!!
  16. Thanks JP. You may not believe this, but I graduated from Ball State as well!!! Good ole Testicle Tech!!!!
  17. Love the Irish, pitched for the Reds in the bigs in 89, and my number was 55.
  18. Our D- line is not the problem, the secondary is!!!! Really poor overall with several brainfarts on missed coverages. Sad to see when the D- backfield was so highly touted.
  19. I think the teams are allowed like 15 or 20 practices, and are limited to 20 hrs. a week as far as official team functions. Film study and independant things don't count if the players do it on their own time,
  20. You are a good man Tim!! God be with you and your family.
  21. Will do Hoosier. It would be easy for me to come in and say he starts after watching him play the last 4 years, but he has some strong comp in front of him. Athletically, he will be fine, but to learn what he will need to learn to thrive in this system and in major college football will take some time. He will see the field early, but I am with those who do not think it will be at starting dog. He will play on special teams and be a force, and I would love to see him get the ball in his hands a time or two!!! If he was able to EE, I would say all bets are off, but he will make us very happy as fans of the Irish, and very proud as neighbors of Ft. Wayne!! I am very confident he hits his target of 240. The guys at AWP don't make a habit of missing goals. This is a fantastic group of trainers who go much deeper than pushing weight. When Jaylon made his decision official, his trainer smiled and said something pretty telling. "The kid ain't even mean yet!" Look the hell out when that happens! One of the nicest young men to speak with, and so humble considering his position. Can't wait to see him in the Blue and Gold!!!!!!!
  22. Great discussion and good points made. Continue, but do so from the vantage point of Jaylon checking in at 240. That is the target. Jaylon and AWP will not miss the target.
  23. I will talk to his trainer and find out what his target is. I think they have the sights on 230 or 235. He will get there. Same guy that got Springmann, Eifert, and Goodman to targets. He will be ready. An athletic freak that you will have to chain to the bench to keep him off the field. He is a tireless worker and extremely driven.
  24. This is truth. Lynch made the decision he thought was best at the time. Pray for him, his family, and future success. I hope he suits up for USF and kicks ass.
