Angeli sees the writing on the wall and transfers the following spring leaving us with Carr.. Deuce and whomever they recruit from there... Minchy is gone by spring next year or even sooner

Program history isn't comparing apples to apples ... They put up numbers against far inferior teams... Offense was abysmal against any team that had any kinda plan for us

High scoring against turds... anyone can put up those numbers on the teams that we played... where it matters is when we know it's a big game

I've read so many comments on different forums... "why don't we play who we recruited?" "Who wants to come off they know ND will just use the portal?".. well first off.. every school uses the portal and it has to be common knowledge... second.. if I hand harbor freight tools, but have money to buy better more quality tools to get the job done... what would anyone do? Same as the next guy trying to keep his job..

I agree completely with your post... great poise even four hours after the game ... I agree ..very well prepared and properly motivated ... my only reservation..... if this is the best prepared and talented overall team since at least 2012... and its a so called "down" year for Ohio state.... the gap between us and the elite teams year in year out ...is still pretty big... idk what to think about that ..

I'll be 42.. and only one of my favorite teams have won a championship since I've been alive.. 1990 reds ... I was nine...and luckily have some memories of all the brooms ..nasty boys ..etc...etc....(Paul O'Neil's defection to the yankees) grr.. anyway... my mindset is locked into tbay teenager mindset ...i still pour all of my everything into every game notre dame plays ... and man o man .. its literally exhausting...it never goes our way it seems ..

A "down" year for Ohio state... clearly One of the best ND teams in memory ... That should tell us all how big the gap really truly is

I actually liked the offensive gameplan... which only works if we are leading or its really close. Power football and wear them down into the 4th quarter... we played well enough to win... if DJ intercepts that pass at the end...its a total different fan perspective.. alas.. ..im heartbroken a little bit.. I also feel like niether of these two teams are anywhere near good enough to win a natty this year... tonight just kinda spelled it out ...idk ... new years 6 bowl at best .. hope rest of the season goes well and go Irish!!!

This is EXACTLY how I feel about Notre Dame football...currently at a loss for words though.. im not even mad ..just like ...dazed and realizing that it happens every time.. Then sometimes I think about how much it must stink for middle of the pack conference teams whos fans know they'll never ever have any kind of chance..

First game was against USC when Kizer hit fuller for a bomb on first drive... then Michigan state... temple...Stanford twice..Cincinnati... this year going to the Pitt game .

I get it, we as fans aren't happy with how things are going in the collegiate world.... devils advocate says that these guys are very young men ..and NFL careers aren't likely for them ... knowing this...why wouldn't a kid take a million extra or whatever it is ...to go wherever... that kinda money would take 15 to 20 years to make in the real world... ..everyone talks about honor ? Integrity? That's all good and im on board with it ... though at the end of the day...everyone of us is a cog in the machine..we get a little grease ... become useless and then are replaced... we are just numbers and consumers ... until people as a collective turn that around ...than this NIL problem is here to stay
