  1. No one is saying you cant 'celebrate the win' But, it would be very short-sided, and frankly dumb, to use any of the game tape as meaningful. It was an exhibition scrimmage type game - just like last years bowl
  2. You guys are basing Angeli's competence off of a single scrimmage/exhibition game- just stop
  3. Cackling at the deluded irish 'Fans' (they are not fans, they are homer morons) anointing 3 star noodle arm Angeli to be THE GUY for ND moving forward , after an exhibition game Only ND fans
  4. How delusional do you have to be to declare a Qb to have the 'It Factor' after he played in ONE glorified scrimmage in a meaningless exhibition game? You idiots did this last year w Buchner, and he is so awful, he doesn't even play football anymore, lol How desperate are you guys to always look like foolish and incompetent ND football fans?
  5. I don't see how Leonard is an upgrade over Hartman. Hartman was a top 5 or 10 D1 qb at wake in 2022. Leonard was around the 145th top rated qb this year in his healthy games. And threw 3 touchdowns in 6 games
  6. I could not agree more. Eventually, they have to commit to youth. They have been punting on this for 15 years, and Kelly was unable to ever sell a top tier QB recruit to come in, take the reins from day 1, and run the program into a natty window for 3 years. If this Portal causes Minchey or Carr to attrit, then it wasnt worth it, IMO
  7. Ehh, next year they can go 8-3 with Leonard, or 8-3 with Carr, then be set up for a 2025 title run w a High upside Sophomore ready to roll w a year of experience, skill player recruits, etc. This move is like painting your bathroom tile. Looks ok from afar, but itll likely end up costing more in the long run.
  8. The transfer portal was introduced in 2018, then augmented in 2020 w covid. Of course people left colleges all of the time prior to the Portal, but it was nowhere near as common or easy. I am not sure what you are arguing, are you saying the portal has had no impact on players transferring more?
  9. Because other students are not getting a 245K free education based on playing a sport?
  10. Yeah - they gotta limit this. And, the portal opens 2x per year? So, in a collegiate players 4 year career, they would conceivably have 7 times in their college windows to transfer. Crazy
  11. Drew Pyne has 3 more years of eligibility left, 2024, 2025 and 2026. And he is back in the portal leaving ASU I have no idea how that is even possible. I guess covid and 2 medical years? He could be 27 years old playing college football in 2026 - Insanity. How bad was the QB room at ND last year? Jesus
  12. There were 216 players in CFB to have more than 484 receiving yards this year; just because ND has abysmal pass catching skill players currently, does not mean im going to bet against common sense. To be fair, it is really embarrassing that Tyree was their leading pass catcher. Imagine what it would have been w Pyne or Buchner, lordy
  13. Players should all have to be at their initial school for 2 years prior to transferring. And they should get one transfer, if the choose to do so, and that is it. They desperately need to put up some guardrails on this fiasco
  14. Good catch on the ARK game, one power 5. I doubt he does much vs 3x the sustained competition tho.
  15. Mitchell played in the CUSA. With the best team being Liberty. This is not a lateral move for him; FIU did not play a single power 5 team all season. Guys that hit .280 and OPS .800 in AAA dont jump to the majors and suddenly hit the same/better
