  1. We’ve lost others… Brunelle, I’m sure there are more. We will disagree though as they are not equal. We’re talking about a guy (Salerno) with no offers, to guys with multiple power 5 offers. Salerno is not a good athlete. This isn’t Chris Finke, go watch his HS tape! It’s TD after TD. Salerno is a div 3 player at best.
  2. That’s why I think losing those guys is a big deal. Salerno is a massive drop off from Johnson, Keys and Young. Salerno doesn’t make the practice squad on any top ten team, yet he’s playing meaningful snaps here? That shouldn’t happen at ND.
  3. Depth guys man. Think of all the receivers we’ve lost: Young, Keys, Stepherson, Johnson and I’m sure there are others. Defensive backs too… Derrick Allen, KJ Wallace. You don’t think Shayne Simon would help this team? I’m not sure if these guys panned out, but we saw the lack of depth with Bertrand and Joseph out this past week.
  4. Could you please share the changes that will make things easier for transfers to get into ND? I think the transfer portal has killed our depth the last few years. We are losing 10-15 guys a year, yet only getting 5 transfers in, if we’re Lucky.
  5. The scary part is QBs are transferring the second they find out they will not be the starter. Imagine if we get a transfer and recruit for next year, or if we just get a transfer. I could see Pyne and Buchner both leaving. We’re almost going to have to start recruiting guys like Avery Davis, who can play DB or WR, but jump back to QB in case of an emergency.
  6. I’ve never been all that interested in the Heisman race, but this year might be the most open race in quite some time. Hooker might be leading now, but he doesn’t have that marquee matchup, prior to voting, in the SEC title game. The othe 3 QBs all have some marquee games coming up and all should be in their conference title games. How do you guys see this one shaking out?
  7. I don’t get this. We just manhandled Clemson and they knew we were running the ball every play. Was this a letdown game? If so, that’s concerning, because it is the third such game in Freeman’s first season. Is this a HH problem? We’ve seen Jekyll and Hyde line play under him. Ultimately, this is likely on Rees and Pyne. Rees didn’t call one RB screen today, despite the obvious blitzes. We threw one hot route, a TD to Estime. Play calling was horrendous, and that’s putting it nicely. Pyne is extremely limited, but that’s on Rees for not being able to recruit a top flight QB. The lack of halftime adjustments is reaching a tipping point. Our offensive coaches got exposed, yet again!
  8. -This game showed our lack of depth. Joseph is out and we see how bad our safeties are. Brown, Griffith, Henderson and Watts should be playing at Rutgers. Same goes for Lewis. As much as I rag on Bertrand, we sorely missed him. -Rees was awful. Not one screen to Tyree with all the blitzes? No quick passes when they’re bringing 8 or 9 guys? Just unacceptable. -This team plays up and down to competition, expect a close one next week as well.
  9. These refs keep showing how incompetent they are. Wow has reffing gotten bad or what.
  10. You think Tommy is competent? Why haven’t we seen a screen to Tyree? Or a hot read on the blitz? Is Pyne to blame? Of course, but Tommy is a big part of the problem.
  11. frig Tommy. Getting outcoached again. they’re blitzing every friging play. Throw a screen to Tyree. Where is the hot read? frig sakes man.
  12. We never really had our foot on the gas. We controlled the LOS vs Clemson, Navy has controlled it this game.
  13. Don’t like the looks of this. Looking like the offensive line we had against Marshall. USC is going to kill us. 8-4 in the nobody cares bowl is looking likely.
  14. Yeah wtf... The defence is gassed and Navy has shown no ability to stop our pass.
  15. Freeman is learning from his mistakes. Many of us called for him to keep the foot on the gas at the end of the first half vs Oklahoma State. Good on him for being aggressive here and widening the gap. Offensive line needs to pick it the hell up in the run game.
