nd_irish 19
Looking for some advice for minimizing streaming costs for ND games this season. The past 2 years I had Hulu Live TV during the football season and spent probably $70/month. I liked that I could DVR the ND games, watch them on my schedule, and fast-forward through the commercials. I also liked watching an occasional non-ND game, but I won't have as much time for that this year due to an upcoming move, etc. I was hoping to spend less this year since I won't be watching the other games as much. I know that I can get Peacock for about $6/month and that will get me ND 7 games, but I don't believe I can DVR them and I do not know when they become on demand (would I have to wait until the game completely finishes to watch them on demand?). The other ND games appear to be on ABC (including Clemson) or ESPN+ with a couple that are TBD. Any good options for those 5 non-Peacock games? Thanks! Good Lord, I'm looking to ditch basic cable for this. Though I hardly watch much TV anymore and mostly do podcasts and live streams. Next year will be brutal for the entertainment industry with new content(which sucks anyhow) because of the strikes. I saw IPTV, Iowa Public Television, which is our PBS outlet and did double take. nd_irish 19
I have a colleague that started using IPTV a few months ago. I’ll have to ask him about it. Can you record live content to watch the ND games later in the day and with the ability to fast-forward commercials and halftime?
NYGoldenDomer 2,046
As stated, you should get most games on Peacock. This will be the first season I have Peacock as I have fallen in love with WWE again and signed up for Peacock during a sale for the Royal Rumble. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you how the games will stream during/after the live broadcast. In seasons past, I watched all NBC games on the NBC Sports app. Anything on ABC/ESPN can be seen on the ESPN app and I have never needed an ESPN+ account for that. I use my parent's cable provider log in info to gain access to apps that need provider info.
Rocketsan 768
IPTV gives you every sports package - NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, US, Canada and Europe, WWE network, UFC, every pay per view, all major network affiliates, all movie networks, 150+ porn channels, every college network, Longhorns Network...everything...100 bucks and you can do split screen easily...I think up to six at a time
dsnack46 3
Does anyone know if Peacock puts the games up immediately after they air? My son is in his first year of football and the games are at the same time. I use IPTV and don't have a way to record the game. I am going to have to bite the bullet and get Peacock but want to know about the service before looking for other ways to record and watch as soon as I get home. If I recall correctly, the on demand usually loads fairly quickly, but I can't say for sure how many hours it takes (or if it is immediate). I can say that it's annoying due to how NBC sets up the commercials within their app. However, it's an adequate viewing experience. The ad-free premium tier may be better, but I can't speak to that.
