Zero credibility. He says that ND will win at least 10 games but is not a top 30 team???? Brian Driskell I think had it right. Marcello probably forgot to include ND (Maybe he was looking at lists of conference teams) and is trying to spin his way out of it.

If Shaun Terry went on a visit do we still consider him a commitment? If you're looking we're looking.
I think that Freeman only really treats official visits as invalidating a commitment. Probably doesn't like commits taking unofficials but it's a difficult position to take a strong stance on if you are OK with recruits committed elsewhere to come and visit ND

Along with every other wife/girlfriend this year! 😂
Funny how she asked if he really had to wear his helmet when he was on the field... 🙂

Some "not-so-good" news: Meadows is going to be a battle until the end. Many were seeing him as a ND lean, but that may not be the case.
Battle with Georgia and Alabama or has someone else entered into the mix?

We're all guilty of enabling the football players in making money. I'm not logging in every day to see how Notre Dame's debate team's recruiting is going. But football is a different story and others with same interest but more disposable income are funding NIL deals.

Now this is awesome!
Btw, my wife has let me know that's she going to be rooting for the Irish to punt a lot this season...

For me, it provides a "legal" method for ND to capitalize on its pool of wealthy alums to compete for talent as opposed to losing to the bagmen of yesterday

I know it’s not the same, but Faison was a PWO and we all saw how that turned out. 😜
My point was that you don't have to really care about balancing numbers at a position for pwos unlike managing the 85 scholarships.

LA RB James Simon: He visited, but I would expect him to stay south. An OV would be very intriguing.
NV WR Derek Meadows: ND is in a great position, will OV in June.
IL WR Talyn Taylor: Eliminated him, he seems interested elsewhere.
FL WR Jayvan Boggs: Had a fantastic visit and plans to return, arrow up.
TX WR Tanook Hines: Had a fantastic visit and plans to return, arrow up.
FL WR Raiden Vines-Bright: Committed to Washington, eliminated.
MD WR Vernon Allen: Eliminated him, ND is pushing elsewhere.
MO OL Jack Lange: Eliminated him, ND had 3 OL commits and he had work to do.
IN DL Damien Shanklin: Eliminated him, he had work to do.
NJ DL Darren Ikinnagbon: Committed to Georgia, eliminated.
KS DL Juju Marks: Eliminated him, ND is not pursuing and some are pursuing him at OL.
KY DL Javeon Campbell: Eliminated him, he moved on.
CA LB Madden Faraimo: Had a fantastic visit and plans to return, arrow up.
CA LB Noah Mikhail: Scheduling OVs and ND is not one right now, I think he likely stays west.
FL LB Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng: Long haul here, no clue at the moment, but I think ND can get an OV.
FL LB Gavin Nix: He should schedule OVs soon and shed light on his real interests. He love every school he visited it seemed.
FL CB Dallas Golden: ND still in a good position.
CA CB Chuck McDonald: ND in a solid position and will get an OV, he probably stays west though.
IN CB Mark Zackery IV: This will be interesting to see how long he takes his recruitment out, ND in strong position.
OK CB Trystan Haynes: Had a fantastic visit and plans to return, arrow up.
NJ CB Jahmir Joseph: No idea, not sure ND is pursuing at all.
NC S Jadon Blair: Had a fantastic visit and plans to return, arrow up, but it will be a battle.
GA ATH Dalen Penson: Supposed to camp in June, will know more then if it happens.
MD ATH Brandon Finney: Eliminated him, ND is not pursuing.
OL Josh Petty was added and visited. A return OV is very possible right now. ND has work to do at DL to find at least one more, plenty of time though.
Just getting Big's list on the last page since it's a great write-up.

Seems like PWO is likely for anyone they take at this point, no? Don't have the cap space at the moment. Although I suppose they'd "cut" someone for a big-time transfer.
Makes me wonder if NIL is offsetting the tuition (and more?) so it's still a good opportunity for some of these PWO's even though they might have scholarships with other programs.
The lifetime economic impact of an ND degree compared to one from a school like Central Michigan is also a factor for PWOs. Now throw some NIL money into the mix to help with tuition and PWO at ND more attractive than it was 5 years ago.

Jalen Wiggins offer is quite interesting. Why offer a committed player, top 100 prospect, this late into the cycle if the interest from him is not already high? Has a Stanford offer and I believe he is visiting there as well, which shows he does value academics.
ND is excellent at both football and academics!!! Very interesting offer in my opinion.
Committed player from Florida flying across the country to visit Stanford in May means something IMO. i.e. it's not like he is going there to see a big game.

I wonder if Sam Hartman would have been drafted last year
Made more money via NIL last year than the NFL this year: “The Commanders gave former Notre Dame QB Sam Hartman one of the biggest guarantees among undrafted free agents: a $20,000 signing bonus and $225,000 base salary guarantee. A sign Hartman is in Washington’s plans for 2024.”

I noticed that Meadows, Taylor and other recruits run track. Is it my imagination or is there a higher percent of Irish recruits running track in the current (2025 and 2026) classes than we saw before?

Good to see Freeman and ND deciding to battle Georgia and Alabama for recruits rather than being happy to go shopping down a different aisle...

Pretty stunned my Boys took him early as appeared could have gotten him later and they needed RB (which they didnt get)
Jones loved Liufau in spite of production. Hopefully he can produce and have long career in NFL.
Thee seemed to be a number of people who were upbeat about Liufau. It will be interesting to see how his game translates to the NFL.

Just surprised there were none announced yesterday. I imagine quite a few are coming this week
I was also surprised not to see any Irish jump into the portal. Maybe Freeman is having 1-on-1 player meetings this week and players are waiting until after that.

What happened with Lange? Was it that he didnt want to go to a crowded room or something else?
Maybe he just wanted to stay close to home?

I think ND is just a hat on the table for Alexander, haven't heard anything about him for months from the ND side of things.
James Simon really needs to be wow'd by this visit. I just do not think he ends up at ND, but if ND can do so well that they get an OV later in the year, then I will be slightly more optimistic. I do wonder what would happen if Simon did want to come... 3 RBs for the 2025 class?
No idea if they want to but could Anderson or Thurman play other positions?
