Clemson, 3.5 five stars and 8 four stars. OSU, Georgia even better than Dabbo. 3-4 four stars and 13+ four stars. ND no five stars at all and 9 four stars per year. 1. Alabama 18 five stars and 62 four stars 2016-2019 2. Georgia 16 five stars and 55 four stars 3. Clemson 14 five stars and 34 four stars 4. OSU 12 five stars and 54 four stars 5. LSU 7 five stars and 46 four stars 6. Oklahoma 5 five stars and 53 four stars 7. Florida State 7 five stars and 51 four stars 8. Michigan 5 five stars and 52 four stars 9. Alabama has had 19 first round NFL picks 2012-2019. They also had 14 second round NFL picks same period. ND, needs to ramp up the recruiting BIG time to even get close to top 5. They need one or two five stars every year, and 12-14 four stars every year.

Has anything changed? This is the same article that mentions Paul's apology on Dan Patrick. Paul said he should have said ND needs to recruit more "athletes". In his first comments he mentions a race of athletes. I bring this up because of few of you think we are in on a higher number of five star recruits, when we probably are not in on more than ten percent or less. And our swing and miss rate is 100% on the ones targeted in the last four years.

When you look at recruiting we are not even in the top fifteen. How can we compete on a REGULAR basis. Yes Boise State won a big game against Oklahoma, that was one time. Clemson and Georgia have joined Alabama in the top tier of college football. If we want ND to make it to the next level, we have to look at doing what it takes to get 2 five stars and maybe 13-15 four stars EVERY year, not just once in the last eight years. Love ND, but we are not a top tier team. Georgia should have been in the game against Clemson.

As a coach, I have found it much more satisfying when teams and players evolve and exceed expectations. This team has been so fun to watch, both players and coaches. These coaches and players have not just advanced one level but possibly two levels. Here is my list. 1. Brian Kelly, has come off the carpet how many times? Anyway to remake himself and his coaching staff the past two years and ALLOW his coaches and players to create, improve and come together. Unbelievable job. 2. Coach Lea and Long. Two new DC and OC coordinatiors?? They came up with many great game plans. And in some games, got smacked in the mouth, but made awesome half time adjustments which turned GAMES around, yesterday being a GREAT example. Wow, Kelly let them coach. 3. Chris Finke. No way I ever thought he would be an impact player. Yet, he has made clutch catch after catch in almost every game. He solidified the punt return game as well, wow. 4. Miles Boykin, no way I had him as a star performer. Got lucky with catch against LSU, now he is a monster receiver, making tough catch after tough catch. 4. Chase Claypool. How many times did we think he would leave, could not see the field due to issues. Running Back? Now he is a big time target and many clutch catches. 5. Dexter Williams? Talent yes, head case, oh ya. But he got it together, exploded with his talents, I did not see this coming at all. 6. Alohi Gilman. Impact play after impact play after impact play. Who was he as a transfer anyway. Far, far exceeded my expectations. 7. Jerry Tillery. Head case, foot stomping kid a few years ago, scolded by Kelly. Now he is an alter boy and probably All-American. The metamorphis with him is incredible. 8. Julian Love, All-American. When was the last time we had an All American CB. Lock down corner, intercepter, 9. Ian Book. We kinda hoped Wimbush would grow as a player, Book was only a backup in my mind. Ya, he was accurate, but. Anyway, he has improved so much as a QB. 10. Drue Tranquilll moving from safety to LB, incredible change and was always a player who could make an impact, but going to LB?? Wow! 11. Tevon Coney, questions about off field issues, got it together and finally tapped into his great skill. A great friend of mine is always ripping on me for being an ND fan. He LOVES Alabama, hates, Kelly, hates obnoxious ND fans. However, he has changed his tune with this team. This is an excellent Defense, great coordinators who make great game plans and half time adjustments. Players are fun to watch are his words. He hopes for a rematch in Championship game. But he does not hate this team, he speaks well of it. Says it is a very good and dangerous team.

My God will you people just enjoy what just happened????? 12-0, half time adjustments tonite and almost every week. Enjoy this 12-0 season. Some of you guys should not be allowed on the puter during game day, its embarrassing. They have the heart of champions. Lea, Long, Kelly, and the boys, came back after a bad start. Noah Boykin, Jarrett Patterson, Lawrence Keys, DJ Brown, CBo Flemister. Best recruiting class for BK. Ya, ya, wish we had gotten one or two five stars, but this is pretty big as well. 27 signees, are we topped off yet??

Really doubt he is a classless coach? Over 40 arrests during his tenure at Florida. He recruited criminals. Percy Harvin and Aaron Hernandez were caught with "weed", their punishment was to miss practice for a week and miss a meaningless non-conference game. He comes to Columbus and talks like he is the new sheriff in town. If you get caught with marijuana, assault a woman, etc. lose your scholarship. He tried to run the seniors off of his first team in Columbus, refused to grant them an extra year so they could complete their majors. Football players are employees of their schools. They schedule everything around practice, lifting, therapeutic treatments, etc. Most could only take 12-13 hours of course work. You cannot graduate in four or even five years with that kind of a schedule. A close friends son was a senior Urbies first year, he almost transferred the summer of his senior season because of the intense pressure. Luckily he did not and was a key defensive player, started two years as a DL. Urban did everything but kick him off the team. My friend was very upset with how his son was treated. Should I go on? Could not believe my ears, but a few minutes ago, Kirk Herbstreit was asked who benefitted the most from all the upsets to ranked teams this weekend. He blew my mind and said Notre Dames loss should not penalize them at all, in fact it should help them, because that was a loss to a very, very good team. Personally, that Texas team CAN beat Oklahoma. They may be a top ten team. And everyone is mesmerized with Deshone Kizer. Top pick in the draft?? That and what a super game ND and Texas was, is all the talk. Maybe.

So the coaching staff/academic advisors/tutors don't know he is struggling, or is way behind in projects, etc? Do you think Saban or Urbie micromanage another area and get the job done? Why is always a repeat violation here. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Problem. Coach get it done.
