States from PEte Sampson. Unbelievable ineptitude from ND Notre Dame's red zone defense remains the worst in the country, allowing 18 scores on 18 trips. The 15 touchdowns allowed on 18 red zone trips is second worst in the country.

Grupe is a horrible kicker. Started out ok, but just missing simple kicks the last few games.

A couple things from me to add after sleeping on it... - Did you see David Shaw when the refs didn't call that PI? He was all over the refs. Never saw that once from MF all game, with all those bad calls. That's on him. - More on Marcus. He has a numb-looking demeanor on the sideline when things aren't going well. If we see it, the players and coaches see it. That's not good. He needs to look like he knows what he's doing. How about looking away and just talking into his mic? - We win that game if Estime doesn't fumble. ITs the second one in a critical situation. What is the RB coach doing? - Just a horrible game plan from Tommy. Should have been runs up the middle/off tackle and spread the team out, 2 TE sets, passes to different receivers (use Mayer as a decoy). Didn't happen too much. - Stanford had Mayer and the outside runs covered. We just adjusted too late. - Interior OL is really, really poor. From the penalty to start the game on PAtterson to the inability to block, it was just a bad game for them.

This says it all Stanford’s defense against Power 5 teams this year. Total yardage and yards per play allowed: USC: 505 (8.0) Washington: 478 (6.9) Oregon: 515 (7.3) Oregon State: 442 (6.5) Notre Dame 301 (4.9) One other thing -- Marcus has yet to figure out how to win at ND . Lost both home games where he was a big favorite. Just clueless

I just can't believe how bad the offensive game plan was. It was not understanding where Stanford is weak, and just go to Mayer. They had Mayer sniffed out. Marcus and Tommy should be embarrassed.

This does feel like Ty Willingham era. That experiment put us back a long time. This is done. We are a mediocre football team with this coach.

I'm done with this team for this year. They just aren't worth watching.

Pyne was horrible today. Even the passes that we completed were off target. Just a bad game. I know we railed on the defense, but they only gave up 16 points. This offense was a joke!!!!
