  1. I was completely wrong, as I was convinced that Anglei, Minchey (or both) would enter the portal. And I also thought Tyson Ford might. Figured there'd be a couple more, too. It's definitely a unique type of kid we get that they are willing to stay and compete for time (and their degree). I think it speaks to the culture the staff is building as well as the kids they're attracting. Shocked and very impressed! It's a truly great thing to see in this CFB landscape.
  2. Seems like PWO is likely for anyone they take at this point, no? Don't have the cap space at the moment. Although I suppose they'd "cut" someone for a big-time transfer. Makes me wonder if NIL is offsetting the tuition (and more?) so it's still a good opportunity for some of these PWO's even though they might have scholarships with other programs.
  3. That's exactly it. Notable difference. The QB recruiting in the social media world seems to be the key. CJ and Deuce are both really active on other targets socials. Golden just said Deuce was in his ear and it was a big reason. They're forming teams to win a natty. Of course it's not only about NIL. As to track, I think it goes along with the higher level recruits that they are more commonly one sport, pro focused. 2nd sport being track, only as football training and to get times recorded for their profile. Even the big guys run sprints just to work speed and get official times. I doubt we'll see any distance runners.
  4. Dallas Golden is such a great add to this already solid, diverse class. I'm starting to expect we're going to get these kids! They're covering all bases with this class - and in great position with a few more! I don't think recruiting has ever been this strong in many (many, many) years.
  5. I have a feeling we are going to see quite a few Sunday / Monday transfers.
  6. Oh that's not good to hear. I liked my idea better. Hopefully they have a plan. We still have to shed three more scholarships, right?
  7. Wow. Seems like the 30 year old transfer kicker, Goins, must have taken his job. Or maybe Jeter?
  8. Pretty cool that we can watch the draft here: youtube.com/live/3NUCEuHf8NYhttps://NY
  9. I listened to the whole thing when I should have just read your breakdown! That covers it all. Thanks, Faith.
  10. Ooh, and a shout out to Luke Talich! Everybody's gotta be rooting for guy who turned down rides to walk on!
  11. I'm rooting for Price and Love to be an effective 1-2 punch. A lot to like about this team with so many great kids in this cast! Darker horses I'm rooting for: D- Devan Houston (Burnham always, too). O- Cam Williams (Colzie too).
  12. Ausberry, Zinter, Bowen, KVA already here. Loaded room. Sounds great! Maybe they'll switch to some revolutionary new defense - like a 1-7-3.
  13. But Gavin Nix...that dude is electric. You'd have to take him no matter who commits.
  14. Good call, Big. Kinda seems like we're attracting more than a few top targets and these guys are willing to shut it down early to secure their spot in the class. I watched Sacca's Jr film (highlights tho). He runs pretty well. Big frame, for sure. It'd be interesting to see how big he gets.
  15. Man, shoulder surgery is worrisome. Seems like that can take awhile to get back to 100%. I hope it's not a huge setback for him. I suppose it's an opportunity for a lot of depth guys to get reps.
  16. All signs point the rumors being somewhat true. Stucky was a GREAT recruiter! Personable, cared about the kids, relatable... BUT, other coaches did not vibe with him. There have been mostly unverified whispers from prior coaches that worked with him insinuating that his drills were ridiculous. Ultimately, I don't think Golden liked him much, and It doesn't take much reading between the lines from there. Even the LACK of comments about the situation point to an agreement that it was a poor fit. A couple of these kids were tied to him, and a couple of these kids were probably gonna go anyway. Looking at the room right now, I would say they made the right choice as far as playing time goes. Way ahead of last years snapshot.
  17. Spring football! Finally! - What a good problem to have, I guess: "...4 starting QB's". Carr looks like he added a lot of muscle. Angeli does everything well. Minchey is so smooth. And Leonard is the starter. IMO, spring is bigger this year b/c I don't see how all 4 stick around in the fall. This is gonna be a battle for #1-#4.
  18. Owusu-Boateng said he's planning a December commitment, so maybe we have some time to impress him.
  19. Cooper Flanigan is building, too. Room has some depth to it.
  20. I don't really care too much who's announcing, I'm locked in on the game. But Mayock always had some insider tidbits and Tirico made it more enjoyable somehow. I forgave Jac a lot b/c he's still fairly new. I liked Eagle this past year, thought he was impressive. I know I've seen/heard Hicks, but don't know much. Garrett falls flat for me - low energy and meh analysis, but he doesn't overtake the game for me. I've really enjoyed Burmeister and Ryan Harris on the radio when I opt out of Peacock games or if I happen to be driving somewhere. Seems like they'd get a look by now.
  21. I'm still not used to ND winning this many announcements, but it's fun! Man '25 looks nice! -OLine class is already looking to be top notch nationally. Haven't had a chance to look at Lange yet, but he's another big kid. -At WR, I'd love to still get Derek Meadows and I absolutely love the film I've seen (especially teammate film/non-highlight) from Raiden Vines-Bright. He is such a perfect ND slot-type - blocks really well, strong, deceptive speed - kid is always working on the field. Like! -On defense, Damien Shanklin is another I'd think we can get - Indiana kid, as well as Mark Zackery at CB. Nice that these 4+ stars are in-state targets! -And the huge win would be JOK's little brother, Owusu-Boateng. Any word on where he stands? He looks like an advanced version of JOK. I want to see him running with KVA, Bowen, Ausberry, Sneed! Recruiting seems to keep getting better - way ahead of even last year at this time. We gotta hold on to the class with a great season and the rest are luxury offers from here out!
  22. I am SO looking forward to Price, Love and "the Stable" this year!
  23. I suppose it's an entertainment option, but I do my part by changing the channel whenever I see him coming. Even his NBA coverage is performative.
