  1. Same thing happened with RB James Aldridge. He committed to ND then trashed his knee. OSU, and PSU both pulled their offers at that time. ND honored their offer, I remember because the paper in Ft. Wayne had a story about it.
  2. This dude is absolutely deranged.
  3. Apparently, Hiestand has agreed to terms and the official announcement will likely be later this week. No word if Watt will join the staff as well but it’s great to see Harry back in the fold.
  4. Didn’t Freeman speak about this after his hire? I believe he indicated ND would be competitive in NIL and was in the process of evaluating the process.
  5. Apparently ND’s is slightly less then A&M’s https://www.usnews.com/education/best-colleges/the-short-list-college/articles/10-universities-with-the-biggest-endowments
  6. Texas A&M has reportedly allocated $25-30 Million for signees of the first signing period. Apparently, A&M’s donors were “extremely coordinated”. The coaching staff identified players they want and relayed those to a “point donor” and that individual works with various other donors to build an LLC that will sponsor the targeted player. If a player goes to the portal A&M is prepared for that, they’ll structure each players deal with a multi year contract. If they leave A&M they leave the money too. It’s also said that the money will increase with each year with the program. Folks were wondering how A&M had the #1 class and is expected to get another 2-4 five star recruits by the second signing day, now you know. I guess this shouldn’t be a surprise given Jimbo’s recent comments on NIL and recruiting but damn!
  7. Bramblett was poor today, in fact his last 4-5 games have t been good. I don’t know when he decided to leave but it’s probably effected his play. On a side note why does a Punter need to be closer to home for his family to see him play? He gets on the field a handful of times a game. If I’m a parent of the ND Punter, I’m telling my kid “you’re getting a degree from the university of Notre Dame, you’re not going anywhere.”
