I thought this article from Bryan Driskell was pretty good about Shepard. https://www.si.com/college/notredame/.amp/football/notre-dame-football-needs-a-home-run-hire-at-wide-receivers-coach I know that at least recently he has coached Bell and Moore both who caught over 1000 yards as freshmen. I was very impressed with Bell’s advancement specifically. I think he would be a good fit.

So if we lose both receivers who aren’t attending today, does that pretty much guarantee we go fishing in the transfer portal? is that an indictment of Alexander or just unfortunate circumstances?

To borrow from a reply in one of the threads that Elder made- was thinking maybe we could have a separate thread. Does anyone have rumors or updates on the current staff position openings? Wide Receiver Coach: Offensive line coach? QB coach? Linebacker coach? others? any chance Notre Dame goes after Keary Colbert from USC since Riley took his WR coach? Hopefully there are some answers to these questions today at press conference. I am excited to see Freeman’s influence recruiting both sides of the ball.
