  1. For the record, jumpman5678 and I called Waller to the Irish a few days ago! lol. If you haven't, watch sone highlights on this guy. There is no ceiling for this guy int my opinion.
  2. Who called this a few days ago? Just saying....haha. If true, this is BIG for the program. Hoping his HS teammate Equanimeous St. Brown follows suit! GO IRISH!
  3. I agree, 100%. May be nothing, but I think he would be an incredible get for the Irish. Especially if we can land his teammate Equanimeous St. Brown. Wouldn't that be something!
  4. I firmly believe the commit is Crawford. Call me crazy, but it would not shock me if Travis Waller committed to the Irish very soon as well (before the end of June). Gut feeling.....maybe wishful thinking haha. On a more series note, Im extremely anxious to see what news comes out on Hilliard‘s visit this weekend. Fingers crossed.
  5. In a dream world I would love Kelly and company to go after Torrance Gibson! We have a good relationship with American Heritage (His school). On the other hand, with Golson, Zaire and Kizer in the fold, Im not too concerned with the QB position at this point. I would rather the staff spend more time addressing other needs (DL, etc).
  6. Easy solution.......QUICK!!!!!! Come on Kelly and co.
  7. OK, OK everyone. I might've been a little bit bias in terms of our education compared to USC/UCLA. However, I still stand by my words that a degree from ND is far better than one from USC. On the other hand, I could see an argument for UCLA. Very good institution. Moving on....... Given the whole McKenzie drama (daily), Kelly and co. really needs to go all in for Quick (I personally preferred to have Quick from the get go). Couple notes on him: -Notre Dame is battling Oklahoma and UCLA for the 6-foot, 170-pound Quick’s National Signing Day signature. -“I have to see what Michiah is talking about now,” Perry said (Dad & HS coach). “He had his eyes wide open.” -Perry said that he thought all three schools were running even for Quick heading into the meeting. “I don’t know right now,” he added. “I have to talk to Quick and see what was going on. He looked big-eyed in there. If we can land one of Garnett/Cage and Quick + Smith (Close there too)....This class would be unbelievable IMO. FINGERS CROSSED!!
  8. Some mental flossing would benefit you greatly! You have to be joking. Numbers are like swimsuit models, they show you a lot but not everything. A degree from ND hails in comparison to USC, UCLA and Oregon. SMH.
  9. Some insight into JuJu Smiths' in-home visit from Kelly/Denbrock tonight.... -“I feel very comfortable with that coaching staff and I really like that Denbrock is now the offensive coordinator. He’s recruited me for a very long time and my family really likes him and Coach Kelly.” -Smith’s parents are very familiar with what Notre Dame has to offer -Kelly didn’t push for a commitment from Smith -“They were firm and came across strong and said that I was a need and an important part to this class,” he said. ******"Smith remains adamant that football won’t be his top priority, the No. 2 reason or even the No. 3 factor when making his final decision. “Academics are going to be a big part of my final decision,” Smith mentioned. “Spirituality and my faith is going to be No. 2. I’m not sure what the third thing will be. "****** USC, UCLA, Oregon and us. You can't put those schools in the same sentence as us when it comes to academics, etc. This would be huge for us!!!!!!
  10. Could not agree more ^^. I know he's had a thing for VT for a long time, but come on. None of these schools thought he had the talent to play for their teams except ND (few others). To show the support ND has from the very beginning, it would be a tough loss for Kelly and co.
  11. Looks more and more like McKenzie is not going to end up in South Bend. Regardless, I would MUCH prefer Quick. But we have to land one of Quick/McKenzie! Go Irish!
  12. Via Tom Loy.....................He just texted me and let me know that Virginia Tech offered him tonight and the other text read... "I may not be going to Notre Dame this weekend." I'm hoping to chat with him shortly. Just got off the phone with him... McKenzie said the Hokies offer is huge for him. He said that he is contemplating a visit to Blacksburg this weekend instead of South Bend. He said he's already spent a week at ND and he doesn't think the unofficial and official visits would be much different. He said that he isn't sure he needs to visit Notre Dame. He said he's seen enough from ND that he could go there and be happy there if he decides to do that. He spoke with ND running backs coach Tony Alford earlier and he said that the conversation went well and that he's going to call Alford tomorrow morning with his decision on where he will be visiting this weekend. He said that no matter where he goes this weekend, he won't commit on the spot and would like to announce on Signing Day from ND, Virginia Tech (if he visits), Ole Miss and Florida.
  13. For those who don't know or haven't looked, his offer list over the course of his recruitment period includes: Ohio State Ole Miss Oklahoma Texas Oregon Texas A&M USC Tennessee Mississippi State Tulane He fills a huge need and would be a great get IMO. Go Irish!
  14. We just offered him. DT from New Orleans. Currently 6"2 280. Here's our late push for another DL!!!! A couple tweets from his Twitter account: 14 DT Courtney Garnett RT "@onlyforaking: Notre Dame offered " Followed by....."@onlyforaking:What a moment !" Update:He has scheduled an OV to South Bend this weekend! (Rivals) Highlights: [ame] [/ame]
