  1. actually rocket...I see that picture a lot. twitter backgrounds, people's sigs on other sites, etc. it's a good one.
  2. Hello Mr. Obvious...long time listener, first time caller. Come on man...this is supposed to be about what teams have more talent than ND.
  3. Bama and Oregon I think we match up great against the others. Florida and LSU...I would rather play them than Stanford and USC. Both of those two are hugely overrated.
  4. This is true. Golson has all the potential...but he is very young and still a pup. Having said that, its obvious he needs to get involved in the run game more...when he does it helps his pass game. He seems to do better when his heart rate is up and is a little excited. He will have some great games...but make no mistake, he will struggle some as well. ALL young QBs have those head scratchers...but he definitely took a huge step forward this weekend.
  5. Why? I looked forever to find one I liked. Ive seen much worse.
  6. Oh, quit getting so butt hurt. I was just kidding you in the first place.
  7. Yes...those two week old posts are killers.
  8. Hey, you are the one who said you never said any of those things. I was just giving you a hard time, and even admitted that ND has proven me wrong a lot as well. You could have checked for yourself before you told me to check for myself and before I open my mouth. As for being closer than me...I would hope because I didnt guess...every time I do guess I end up guessing wrong...i think I jinx them when I swear they are going to win. Im just a little superstitious.
  9. OK...just as you asked. For your viewing pleasure...just as I stated. But, Im just a rookie and you are a master internet board poster guy...so what the hell do i know.
  10. OK...but its right there for you to read yourself. Pages 1-3 i think...but if you like, I will post them.
  11. It was his second start. He is learning more and more every practice and every game. Doesnt matter if he lead the PU drive or not...he will get to the point where hes leading them soon enough. No need to rush him when you dont have to. When JC totally blew up against BC his 2nd year, it sure would have been nice to have someone to turn to when it was obvious that his head wasnt in the game. Golsons fine and will have plenty of opportunities to lead us on 2 minute drives.
  12. Yes...without a doubt. As soon as he hits Chris Brown on that deep ball a couple times, that field will open up like crazy. Thats the only was we are going to be able to get teams to quit clogging it all up.
  13. Golson threw for 150 TDs in high school. I know we assume that he is a runner (I wonder why)...but it seems to me that he has always been a pass first QB who likes to sit in the pocket. He wasnt much of a runner in high school and from everything I have read, he isnt real comfortable running right now. Once he gets control and things begin to slow down, he will hit those gaps when the play breaks down, but his intincts are as a passer first, so hes always looking down field. Give him time and he will see it all better, but Kelly isnt trying to turn him into anything he isnt, hes just letting Golson grow and learn without forcing too much. The zone read is tough for guys who are still figuring out how to read the defense. Not real easy for a guy with 4 starts to know what the defensive end is going to do in a split second...as soon as he does though, id bet we will see Golson hold on to that ball a lot more and burn that end for crashing in.
  14. Maybe you should do a little research before you open yours...in this thread alone you have been wrong on just about everything that has taken place this year. 1. You agreed the we would be 2-2 at this point. 2. You said both Michigan teams would beat us. 3. You said Denard would run and throw all over us. 4. You said we wouldnt be able to stop MSUs run game. Shall I go on? Check for yourself big boy.
  15. If you couldnt tell by looking at Golson after that first int that he was just not in the game, then you need to look at it again. Hes going to be an awesome QB, but not last night. Im pretty sure everyone knows of Tommys limitations and that he is not the most physically gifted QB, but he was a calming presence last night. We didnt need him to win the game for us, we needed him not to lose it. Golson is so much more talented and will be killing it soon, but last night just wasnt his night. We all have days like that.
