All signs point the rumors being somewhat true. Stucky was a GREAT recruiter! Personable, cared about the kids, relatable...

BUT, other coaches did not vibe with him.  There have been mostly unverified whispers from prior coaches that worked with him insinuating that his drills were ridiculous.

Ultimately, I don't think Golden liked him much, and It doesn't take much reading between the lines from there.  Even the LACK of comments about the situation point to an agreement that it was a poor fit.

A couple of these kids were tied to him, and a couple of these kids were probably gonna go anyway.

Looking at the room right now, I would say they made the right choice as far as playing time goes.

Way ahead of last years snapshot.

The only part about it that seems weird to me then, is why did MF say everyone was staying 24 hours earlier. That to me points to an incident, whether the rumored one or other

    My takes:

Tyree - would’ve liked to see him back but he’s going closer to home and in all honesty probably just looking for another opportunity. He never really panned out into the explosive player we thought he would be.

Flores - On record saying he left because stuckey was no longer there.

James - never really picked up the offense and another alleged stuckey casualty.

Merriweather - pretty much a disappointment all around, I figured he’d leave for other opportunities

For what it’s worth there were some rumors going around that one of the stuckey being removed reasons was being caught smoking up with some of the players (besides being a shitty wr coach with the dumbest drills I’ve ever seen). Probably more to it than we’ll ever actually know for sure

I heard that rumor a long time again and pretty much dismissed it. It would explain why he is currently unemployed, but still dont put much credence in it

4 years!?! He must really like his gig. Is it typical for an OC or DC to get that length contract?

It is more a vote of confidence. No coaches really make it to the end of a contract without an extension or getting canned first. It is a way to guarentee more money with the annual salary being the same.

They showed her WAY more than 2 times (maybe 2 times per KC drive).

The issue is that most fans of NFL are not Swift fans and they CONSTANTLY show her and make a comment about her celebration/body language/etc. We, as football fans, simply do not care. Meaning that they are just pandering to the few Swift fans that are watching just to see Swift.

I'll be honest, the hate isnt even directed at her, it is directed at the producers for showing her so much and talking about her.

The real issue is that the Super Bowl isnt for NFL fans. Think about the actual audience. It is WAAAAY more than a normal sunday or playoff game.

Interesting pick up.  It does not hurt our numbers, but how does he even have any eligibilty left?  I must misunderstand the rule, but I thought a player has four years of eligibility to complete typically within five years.  Wouldn't Goins' time have run out?

That is correct but there are a few things that stop the clock. The biggest being religious missions (why BYU Players are older) and military service is also one, just not typical

Honestly, most commitments fall into the silent commit category. A large percentage of high school players tell the coaches, "Hey, I'm all Irish, I want to announce it on such and such day, possibly for such and such reasons." Very few times, the recruit does the "hat" thing and the coaches dont know what they are going to pick.

Agree... those all fall into the #2 category above. Few silent commit and then say they have no plans of going public.

After multiple decades doing this….  “Silent” should be on the banned list of vocabulary words…. Arrelious Benn, among many others, were “silents”….  Let’s just call them “likely to commit”…

Well, i think there are two categories of silient. The first category i agree with your assessment, the second category i understand the player wanting their moment and doing it their way.

    1. Ones you mentioned above who are playing the game

    2. Ones who have not yet announced but are fully planning on doing so and have or are about to schedule an announcement. The ones mentioned by you never were planning on going public.

I thought I read somewhere that taking a student with 1 year is easier than someone as a Soph or Junior level.  That is as a frosh you are taking intro courses etc in college, but once a major is declared the differences between ND and another school varies a lot more.  I dunno.

Correct, because the first year basic classes can often fill electives and they havent gotten into their core yet. From what the pods say, grad transfer or after fresh year are the easiest.

Also, Beaux isnt a grad either
