  1. I won’t, Smith-Njigba does that to everyone. He’s very good and the Ohio St offense is very good.
  2. Again, Kelly wanted Rees to go with him to LSU… a coach you love will all your heart thinks Rees is a good coordinator. Freeman, a coach you seem to despise, was a Kelly hire and likely would be a head coach elsewhere next season had ND not hired him. These coaching decisions aren’t crazy to anyone but you
  3. Nebraska tried to do the same with Oklahoma this year... and everyone laughed in their face because that's some cowardice bullshit. Are you a closeted Scott Frost follower?
  4. Ok so in this hypothetical the offense, which you said is bad and is led by a bad OC, will score 49 points but the defense will give up 70? So really it'll be the unnamed DC's fault? Am i following correctly now? To me it sound's like you don't think it matters who's on staff now that Kelly is gone. BK and BK alone dragged this team to all it's success (regular season success). The program is doomed without him. We deserve the same fate as Michigan fans post Lloyd Carr for ever hoping for more
  5. Ohio St's defense since Day took over has been garbage. They got torched by any half decent offense this year. Oregon and Utah moved the ball at will against them and neither team was anywhere near playoff contention. Even if Tommy isn't a stud coordinator, it doesn't take much to come up with a competitive scheme against OSU the last few years
  6. You must’ve forgotten I’m content with 10-11 wins and being in the national title discussion. I don’t need titles to be happy. I’m not sure if you’re watching the Rose Bowl right now or have watched any Ohio St games this year but if every Pac 12 QB they play can torch that defense I think our boy Tommy can manage to get Buchner ready
  7. Yes…? What don’t you understand?
  8. I agree 100% except for Tommy We’ve established today that BK wasn’t the problem and Tommy is basically BK Lite. We know he can develop QB’s into game managers who can win lots of regular season games… the most in school history to be specific… We also know he loves to chuck it and we know that’s how you win football games these days
  9. To be fair to Tommy he’s really only played and coached football under BK. (GA years don’t count for the point I’m making) As we know, BK is a man who will throw it 40+ times in a hurricane. How can we expect Tommy NOT to throw it 68 times in a dome?
  10. I think you misunderstood me. I loved that BK was an a hole. His teams would have been WAY too scared to blow a 21 point lead. Fear and hate are both much stronger motivators than love. For the record, I never wanted him to be fired. You can go back and look at my post history, I wanted him to stay here forever. I’m totally fine winning 10-11 regular season games a year. I don’t need any more than that, as long as ND is in the national conversation I’m happy
  11. I’m with Elder on this one… this one single bowl game without a couple of our best players is more than enough evidence to come to such a conclusion. Yeah, it’s Freeman’s first game as a head coach, and yeah, BK has literally never won an important post season game in his life, and yeah, this falls in line with our time honored tradition of losing to schools called OSU in the Fiesta Bowl but we now know for certain that that BK wasn’t the problem. I’d go as far to say the if BK is head coach this game he definitely probably maybe doesn’t blow it like Freeman did and that’s enough for me
  12. Jack Coan BONED us again… Wisky QBs have no poise or accuracy. There’s a reason Mertz won the job…
  13. I’d be much happier right now if I had turned this off at halftime and played some Playstation instead
  14. Like most of you I think Notre Dame will 10-2 or 8-4 and it could easily go either way. The most disappointing part about this is they have way more talent than the majority of teams they play but I don't trust them enough to win all the games they should win. I've been making this comparison for the last couple years but Notre Dame is Iowa when it comes to season expectations. Most years both Iowa and Notre Dame have a shot to go 10-2 or 8-4. The first difference is that Notre Dame will almost always have a tougher schedule than Iowa. The second difference is Iowa's aberration is a 4-8 season and Notre Dame's aberration is a national title run a la 2012 for both teams. With these differences in mind I'd still argue that most seasons Notre Dame and Iowa have similar season expectations almost every year
  15. Wow...that is unreal. Nobody is having a worse week than you. That is terrible to hear. I'm sorry
