When and which one of our coaches are going to the in home visit with McKenzie? Is he not setting up an official to ND? Weird that we cant even get an official from him
Hogan will be back at Stanford. They will be good again. great oline
We don't play MSU
USC, UNC have a lot of talent. Will be tough games.
Who is Northwestern losing that they will be in rebuild mode?
Arizona St will be a tough game on the road
Michigan gm is always close
If Strong stays, Louisville will be strong
FSU is a nightmare game
Rice/Syracuse/Navy/Purdue are all weak opponents
McGlinchey is going to be a monster tackle. Kelly just was pointing out his athleticism is unreal. Also says he could throw like a qb. Will be a massive tackle
1) Kelly is not goin anywhere. And there hasn't even been any rumblings from nfl that they want to talk to him
2) Hope Tuitt and Niklas stay. Atkinson really don't mean much. No effect on win/loss record.
3) Hope so. Want to attack and play most talented players
4) We get Morgan. Hope no defections. We get 1-2 others. Finish # 9-10 in recruiting
5) Doesn't really matter. Kelly will call plays next year with golson back and a lot riding on next season. Hope we take a qb coach who is a flat out recruiter
6) Really hope so. We need it
Question 7: Will we hire a ST coach or make ST a priority
Question 8: How many quality players does our opponents lose to nfl. USC has lost 2. Syracuse 1. UNC 1. Hope more will follow.
Mckenzie is getting his sat results in early January. if he doesn't score high enough, he will retake on jan 25th according to him. He could commit any time after signing day. Signing day is not concrete.
Big, why does this seem impossible. Seems if he gets his sat score up on the 25th, he could still get in?
I see 2 locks to come back in that group
1) Lombard - hope hes healthy
2) Moore - desperate need for ILB and he can play
And I see 3 possibles
3) Collinsworth - started a few games and at worst would be productive spec team player
4) Utopo - if we get some transfers, keep him as depth
5) Hendrix - Don't want to burn Kizers rs, so emergency purposes
I think we fill up with recruiting but with transfers/injury/grades we end up with keeping 3
Anyone have a list of all available 5th year options we have. I would like to take a look and see who I think we should bring back. Plus with recruiting winding down it would give a good idea of how many we could take
- Big, prediction on tranquill? I say we land him, are we definitely recruiting him at ILB?
- Is Nelson the replacement for Mckenzie? How do they compare?
- We need to land Luatua to have a shot with Smith imo. What say you?
- Hope Luatua commits soon, we need the good momentum
- Would take Griffin in a second, we need dl bad. Would take Delp as well
- Who is better prospect, Lee or Tranquill. I assume if we offer, we only take one??
If they hire the right coach, they will be back in 2 years. Actually next yr they have a lot returning. Most of their team will be back next year. Coaching is their biggest weakness, they wont be down for long
Everything seems to have gone really well. The only thing that has me concerned is Luatua. I thought he was going to commit. Now he is visiting bama. Did he see something he didn't like or was this his plan from the start. I hope we could land him. he would be a key recruiter for the west coast guys. Anything on Brown?
Miami wasn't unranked when the played fl. Florida two losses are much better than ours. Missouri was ranked 25 when the played Georgia and Georgias two losses are also better than ours. Wisconsin got screwed against az st so that is what that is all about.
We should be ranked somewhere between 23 - 28. that is fair
The reason he is saying a possible move to tight end is because of Robinsons size and lack of speed for wr. He doesn't run well for a wr but would be a fast tight end. So, that would be a move to consider if he can handle the added weight. To me, his potential is a good wr, but poss. a great tight end
Redfield is a safety for sure. Jaylon is an outside backer for sure. Hes our best athlete on defense and you want to move him to a position where we have 5 running backs. Folston cant even get on field much (prob. because of the playbook) Not a good move. Defense needs more Jaylon Smiths, not less
