First of all Weis isnt allowed to say anything until nsd 2007. Big recruiting violation if he does and he already knows that so dont expect anything from ND. Every player at every position every year has to realize that someone is going to be trying to take their job. Frazer and Jones are both competitors and im sure in both of their minds they are better than everyone else and if they didnt believe that I dont think they would be here!

Clausen has verbally commited to Coach Weis. There is no doubt in my mind. All the clues are there. Listen to his fathers comments and that about seals the deal. I initially was told it was going to be alittle after signing day that the announcement would break. Right on schedule if you ask me!

Walker is good,no question, but good enough to take it to the next level and hold off Aldridge I doubt very seriously! With a back like Aldridge whom I have seen quite a bit of tape on, you dont sit a kid with this kind of talent. It is about time Notre Dame started getting elite recruits and you dont let these kids not play because of "seniority". It would be a huge mistake if Aldridge is not starting by his sophmore year after having split time with Walker in his freshman year and yes I know that is Darius's senior year. I say let the best man win. Remember,Weis comes from the pro's,a what have you done for me lately league! He will not let talent be wasted because he is loyal to a player. That would be unfair to the entire team and the fans if you are not playing the better talent. Weis will play the better man and that will be Aldridge!

You hit the nail on the head for me! Walkers problem is I dont believe he will be able to "step it up a notch". The thing that keeps Walker from being considered an elite back which you guys think he should be is the big great killer, SPEED, and Walker is slower than molases. Charlie has said as much. I see a real problem for Walker brewing especially considering Charlie pushed to get Aldridge in as an early entry. You cannot keep your talent off the field and I dont see Aldridge red-shirting at all especially because of the early entry. Unfortunately Walker is not a gamebreaker or game changer. He is a good college runningback that will have a hard time making the transition to the NFL because of his lack of intangibles. He doesnt have great vision, size,speed or cutting ability. He goes too much East and West and not enough North and South and that aspect of Darius's game drives me nuts! Coach Weis has told him as much! Darius's blocking ability almost got Quinns head taken off on numerous occasions. Walker is a solid citizen on and off the field and I love him cause he plays for my squad but I will not hold my criticism and try to make him out to be something he is not because of it! Again let me state that with the line Walker had and the amount of carries he got he should have been more productive but as we all know we are only limited by our abilities!

I think Walkers blocking leaves alot to be desired or arent you guys watchin the same games I am??? So he had a couplre of nice blocks here and there but I have seen on many occasions where Walker has completely whiffed on taking his man out and causing Brady to elude more than he should! I completely disagree with you there. I dont very much care for Walkers running style either. Instead of hitting the hole, he dances too much and doesnt always run with speed or authority once he gets there. I am not trying to knock Walker but Aldridge will be a better player no doubt in my mind. Darius had a nice year but running behind the line he had last year he should have gone for well over the total he had with the amount of carries he was given. Darius is not the gamebreaker type That is the difference between a good back and a great back. Aldridge is an upgrade in my opinion!

After reading this article alittle more Im not liking the fact that he is so quick to bring up racial issues. In this article he tells you point blank he is a running quarterback and I dont see it working at ND and If you think the current ND players are going to let ride what he said about Brady your sadly mistaken. I wouldnt want to be Jones lining up against the defense for the first time! Maybe Laws or Abiamiri can clue him in and bring him back to reality if you know what Im sayin!! When this kid can compete on the same level as a Brady Quinn or Vince Young then maybe he can talk his smack but I dont see Charlie puttin up with that garbage PERIOD!

Alot of ND recruits were asked who they were most excited to see coming to ND also. Almost everyone they interviewed said Aldridge. James is way too talented to not get carries his freshman year. Walker is good but he is not the complete package that Aldridge is lets be realistic here. I love Darius but Aldridge has better vision for the cutback lane, is bigger,faster, can block better and hits the hole harder. Darius is good but he is not so good that he keeps the talented freshman off the field. Aldridge could very well go down as ND's greatest when its all said and done. I have watched game film on the kid and I truly believe it!!!! I havent been this excited about an ND tailback recruit in a long time. Put me in the " Im drinkin the kool-aid category" this kid is special.

Lets put it this way,you can recruit whenever the NCAA allows which is most all the time. These kids have had relationships with college coaches since they were freshman in high school. There are kids that Charlie speaks with weekly. There are a ton of rules and regulations that govern schools in regards to recruiting though! When they dont follow the rules they can recieve any number of penalties up to and including the infamous Death Penalty that SMU still has never recovered from! Schools and coaches willing to take the chance of losing scholarships and bowl bids and being sanctioned such as your Spurrier coached team's and your LSU's,Alabama's, Colorado's, Oklahoma's and Ohio State's-I dont care what anyone say's,you cannot tell me Tressel didnt know everything Maurice Clarett was involved in before and after and expect me to keep a straight face! Schools and coaches should be ashamed of themselves but then again its all about winning and by any method necessary. A beautiful example is Dexter Manley going through all levels of school including college being unable to read and write! The people that were involved with that should feel ashamed the rest of their lives because they didnt care about the kid they cared whether he could play football or not. Whats great is Notre Dame would never allow it as long as that University sits in South Bend so you dont have to worry about Coach Weis and his staff not that you would have to anyway!!! Sorry for the rant fella's I was responding to an earlier question someone asked about McCoy. I hope what ever cheater school he selects gets buried. Its disgusting but it happens more than you could ever imagine!!!! Be glad we are all Notre Dame fans!!!

Thanks for clarifying! I am so excited about ND Football right now I cant stand it. I hope all of you guys are seeing take place what I am seeing take place. We are building a complete and total machine in South Bend. We may have a team pretty soon the likes of which has never been seen before at ND.

Sometimes sources are good and sometimes their off. You cant account for what a kid might do later on in the recruiting process. For you to apologize is ludicrous. This site gets more recruit scoop than any site I have ever been to because of guys like you! These teams no they arent going to be able to compete once these kids set foot on the ND campus so they try to do whatever they can to sway these kids,maybe a new car for mom or some cash to help pay the bills. It eventually will get out and the team that gets outted will pay. Unfortunately it wont happen soon enough. Remember Albert Means and Alabama. The situation might be different but the principle is still the same! I wouldnt want a kid like this anyway! I cant help but feel no remorse for kids or schools who cheat once the ncaa drops the hammer on them! If this kid decided to go anywhere else it is because he did cheat and I sincerely hope he gets outted and everything that goes with it. Broker, did Clausen verb at the Junior Weekend or earlier. I have posted on Mustain here before and not to nice like either but after listening to the kids interview and hearing him speak on National tv He doesnt seem like that bad of a kid. He is a teenager and teenagers do some crazy things that leave you scratchin your head sometimes. Were we getting this kind of attention from top recruits last year? Think about where Notre Dame has come from fellas. If we were getting attention from the National Player of the Year last recruiting year and the years before that,thats one thing but It has been so long since a top recruit like Mustain has even looked at Notre Dame and now we are trying to pick and choose who we want. Mustain is the National High School player of the year! He is that for a reason. I understand everyone wants Young and McCoy. I want Young and McCoy too but having the National High School Player of the Year commit to your program after the last few recruiting classes weve had is saying something. Since when have we earned the right to be picky? I like Frazer and im still learning about Jones but this kid is the no.1 quarterback in the ENTIRE COUNTRY.Think about that!!! Could he be pulling our chain? Sure ,but all im saying is if we got Mustain and McCoy you wont hear me complaining. Thinking about it ,I am so happy with this class already I dont care who we get to cap it off. I do know it is going to be two outstanding players and ill be happy with both!

Bush very well may be the first pick overall. His stock is at its highest point right now. I doubt he stays and risks an injury. He comes back and gets hurt he loses millions. If he does come back id be pretty shocked. White has also formally declared so he wont be back, Leinart is gone so its not the perfect little situation for Bush anymore!!! Texas keyed on him in the Rose Bowl and every team they play next year would do exactly the same thing. I think this is a case of Pete the Poodle scared of being exposed this coming year for what he really is and he is probably in Bush's ear begging him to stay. If Bush is smart,which he already showed he isnt by not coming to ND, he leaves for the NFL so all the sportswriters and espn can continue swinging from his nuts.

Gentleman take a look at the freshman All-American team. Correct me if im wrong but not one so called five star recruit made it. We had eleven kids play or invited to play in the AA Bowl. How many did usc have? Not eleven, not even close. The poodle can have the left overs. Ill take early versus late anyday. I would rather get the kids I want first instead of having to sort through the left overs. Everyone of the kids Notre Dame got they had targeted as players they wanted to add to the team. I would trust the judgement of a successful NFL coach over the judgement of a poor one. Charlie succeeded because he knew how to use his personnel. The poodle isnt going to have the horses hes had anymore. You dont just replace a Bush, Leinart, or White. He knew it was over the night of the Rose Bowl! I was sooooo happy that Bush and Leinart went out having played their final game for the National Championship and LOST! Oklahoma City Star is reporting also that McCoy has dropped ND as a possible destination. It says McCoy will choose from LSU,Oklahoma, and Southern Cal. Even Lemming said that he believes ND is out of the running after interviewing McCoy. Who knows maybe it's posturing on McCoys part?

Chris is from Servite H.S. in Anaheim California. he is 6'3 230 lb. Also played some widereciever but will play linebacker at the next level. Is one of the top linebacker recruits in the nation already as a junior. Started getting big press as a sophmore when he put up somewhere between 110 and 120 tackles with a few sacks and I think an int or two. Was voted by a few recruiting pages as a high school All-American as a sophmore!!!

Clausen will not got to USC with Sanchez there! South Carolina could'nt carry Notre Dames jock so That leaves...us! Many feel Clausen is a strong ND lean even at this early stage.
