The NCAA (in CFB) will be irrelevant in 2 years or less. I see a commissioner coming. Maybe not soon enough. But to your point. NCAA won’t do crap and that goes for any pending charges for OSU for same infraction.

I say it all the time. Short passing game needs to improve. Hartman “ the home run hitter” never saw a long pass he didn’t like. -

Wake all over again -
So I completely agree the desired plan is to become TE and QB University. What QB in ND history besides Joe and Theisman were coached to be or were coached by top deck talent? Asking for a friend

Post game: #15 Notre Dame @ Clemson(Loss 31-23)

No short passing game -
Temperament seems to be changing. Hartman hasn’t been the same since Duke. Parker no doubt has been over his skis and an abject failure as OC. Our WR corps is what I thought it would be at the beginning of the year… Inexperienced, not threatening and marginal at best. However, they have not game planned for this well (see Parker). I think we should sit Sam as well and play out the season with Angelli. But we know that won’t happen. So , drink the milkshake and hire a real OC and sniff the portal if needed. WR help coming if we hold. BTW. WTF is wrong with Tyree? Who the heck is that guy wearing his jersey?

Post game: #15 Notre Dame @ Clemson(Loss 31-23)

Freeman is not entirely the problem. His mistake promoting a Zero experienced OC cord. Golden has been good. Hartman has been declining since Duke. He seems to have been affected by the early Heisman talk and forgot how to throw on time and accurately. The OC has no game plan for short passes with a sub par receiver corps. Let’s through bombs and long ? -
So the word is the coaching staff is going to meet to discuss next year and the possibilities of going back into the portal. Between the lines it seems to say “convince me we have THE GUY” or “Not sure about what we have so let’s explore”. The landscape of college football has changed. You better have a stud or keep looking. IMHO

I am very concerned. Parker has no business being an OC in training with this offense. He is way over his skis. No short passing game and an uninspiring use of our skill players. -
Btw. I think Riley is marginal at best. He couldn’t hit the ocean from a boat. It’s D in Duke.
-
I agree with developing our talent. But I am highly questionable with Parker at OC. Hartman came with experience and developed skills. Can Parker do that with the trio we have after Sam? Not sure. Don’t want to go thru the turnstile every year either but until I know we can recruit and develop QBs (pro style) maybe I would be in the market.
-
I saw speculation today from a ND Board on Facebook about the SMU QB.

I think most (if not all) of us are pleased with results of Sam Hartman to this point. I know the season isn’t over but he has been a stable and experienced addition to the most critical position on the offense. If the rest of the season plays out with these same outcomes, does (should) we look for the same in the transfer portal for next year or stick with Angeli, Minchey and Carr and trust in our recruiting and coaching? I guess it really depends on who’s out there? Curious to see your thoughts. I would like to think we have faith in the recruiting and coaching but Parker is also a huge “?” at this point as well.
