We know who we have committed todate. I heard the names Sabino, Floyd and Robinson are going to be next. I was wondering if someone could layout how many more schollies are left and who is going to get them. I realize this has been rehashed several times, but maybe it changes a little with the B. Butler decision.

We can go as high as 25 scholarships, and even more with EE's. But the closer we get to 25 than the less 5th years we invite back. To get to 25 that would mean that Lambert and Crum would not be invited back for their 5th year.

Still to go, I see us landing another OL (hopefully Trevor Robinson), 2 more WR's (Floyd and one more), and 1-2 running backs. That would be it in my opinion. Sabino is still out there at LB but what I read recently did not look good for us.

The rest of this year for recruiting will include the following:

1. The staff giving much love to our current commits as to not have any more de-commits.

2. A strong effort to the few remaining on our 2008 radar.

3. A monster of an early, strong effort to the 2009 class. The speed of our 2008 class almost completed will enormously benefit the class of 2009. The staff will be able to get a MAJOR jump start on that class. Next year will probably consist of the cream of the crop due to the extra time and effort we have available for that class.

Rock, I believe we can go to 26 if we bring no 5th yrs back.

*** dependin what happens with Derrel Hand we could possibly have another schollie free'd up for our 09 class***** if Hand gets the boot and that frees up a schollie for us next yr would that mean we could go to 26 this yr and bring back 1 5th yr guy? Just thinkin out loud

Yeah, but I think we all want Maurice Crum and Terrail Lambert back for a 5th year.

You can ONLY bring in 26 or more if you have atleast 1 early entry. That's it. You are only allowed 25 per year. An EE can be counted toward the prior class. So if a prior class is full along with the current one than no EE's, thus a max of 25.

I keep thinking back to a CW comment about wanting to start leveling out the classes. I don't think he will push this class to the limit at the expense of next year.

That's my feeling AAND I think we are done except for perhaps ONE exciting commit.

I think we will take 26 if Charlie and Corwin get the guys they want.

Floyd

Baldwin

Sabino

Robinson

Patchan

Williams

I don't get the optimism about finishing the class. If Floyd is the 20th commit then we only get to 24 if everything falls into place. How likely is that? Some more offers are going to have to go out to get the numbers up. Or are we closer to finishing this class then it seems?

I still think this is an incredible class. It just may be slowing down a bit.

we need consistency, we are not going to take to take 26. 23 at most

I see us getting Floyd, Sabino, Robinson, and Williams. If we take 24, it would be a NSD surprise like baldwin. we need consistency, we want to take the same amount every year.

I think Sabino might be iffy at best. The other three are a definite possibility.

I think we pick up Floyd, Robinson, and Williams but I don't think we end up with Baldwin, Walker, or Sabino. That would put the count at 22. I would guess there would be one more commit, possibly an under the radar type that busts onto the scene his senior year.

I saw an article the other day about R. Williams not making or delaying his visit to ND. Does anyone have any more info on that..
