Posted July 19, 200717 yr Do you guys think we'll have the #1 class by next Feb? If not, who would we need to get in order to maintain our #1 spot till signing day?
July 19, 200717 yr i think that USC will be #1. i thnk we end up 3 or 4 I disagree, i think if ND closes with who I expect them to close with they could very well be #1 or #2 USC's class will be top 3 and great as always but I'm not seeing a #1 overall class this year
July 19, 200717 yr Does the fact USC has a bunch of players with no heart a result of recruiting or coaching? Just once I would like to see what that much talent looks like when its focused and motivated.
July 19, 200717 yr usc has an average star ranking of 4, which is unheard of. they already have three 5 star players and are in the mix for a bunch more. nobody knows how to close like usc. i hate them as much as any of you can, but those are the facts. believe me i hope you are right just history isnt on our side.
July 19, 200717 yr Does the fact USC has a bunch of players with no heart a result of recruiting or coaching? Just once I would like to see what that much talent looks like when its focused and motivated. see: 2003 Orange Bowl, 2004 Rose Bowl, 2005 Orange Bowl, 2007 Rose Bowl Just because they lost to Oregon St and UCLA they all of the sudden have "no heart"? Sheesh, tough crowd Back to the topic, I don't see them ending up with the #1 class because I frankly don't see them hitting on many of the 5 stars (by Rivals) left on their board. Darrell Scott - 10% chance, and thats being generous Deion Walker - Probably FSU bound Arthur Brown - OU TJ Bryant - FSU Will Hill - Florida They'll definately get a great deal of 4 stars and there's a chance some of those guys get moved up to 5-star status, but you can say the same for ND. If Florida St lands D. Walker, B. Butler, and TJ Bryant in addition to some of the studs they already have committed, that right there could very well be the #1 class. The top 5 teams (in no particular order) IMO will be FSU, ND, USC, Oklahoma, and Ohio St

July 19, 200717 yr The top 5 teams (in no particular order) IMO will be FSU, ND, USC, Oklahoma, and Ohio StI agree with 4 of those 5 ending up in the top 5. Ohio State has limited numbers, which will affect their chance at being in the top 5. Regardless they will have a class filled with quality. Here's how I see it ending up: 1. FSU 2. USC 3. OU 4. ND 5. UGA

July 19, 200717 yr who needs heart when you can just get paid 750,000 dollars for playing college football? "cough" reggie bush "cough"
July 19, 200717 yr too many five stars left out there for us to end up #1. We'll be top 5 unless everything goes to hell. I'd be 100% happy with that considering the kinds of players we got/are supposed to get.
July 19, 200717 yr Maybe "heartless" was a little harsh. But I watch every one of their games and they seem to lack the intensity of say, a Rutgers team.
July 19, 200717 yr So you're going back on what you said heisman... ha thats funny... Your inside USC source has been fooling you this year... Its open season on recruits this year.. No one school is going to dominate the five star list... You can bank on it...

July 19, 200717 yr If they're gonna punish OU then SC should be droppin their pants and getting ready for the paddle. Petey's a great coach but he should be ashamed of how he lets his players run loose without fear of punishment. For anyone who would like to argue against that this should speak for itself http://www.bruinsnation.com/story/2006/6/26/113925/426 Disgusting program. And add Joe McKnights phone calls with Reggie to the list.
July 20, 200717 yr So you're going back on what you said heisman... ha thats funny... Your inside USC source has been fooling you this year... Its open season on recruits this year.. No one school is going to dominate the five star list... You can bank on it... Not going back on anything, the only reason i didn't say Butler to USC is because i know it'd start an argument that'd distract from the original topic at hand. And as far as I can tell we are tied at 1-1 when it comes to whiffs, you with Hale and me with E Johnson.
July 20, 200717 yr ND will end up #2 this year. USuck will eventually get by us (scandal or no scandal, the Poodle can recruit I must admit). FSU is going to be hurt by UF and a strong "The U" class so I think the three FL schools cancel each other out. OSU won't have the numbers, Texas and UCLA are about done...UGA and LSU won't be able to make up that much ground on us.
July 20, 200717 yr FSU won't land the top class IMO, they have toooo many 3 stars and just picked up another 3 star today. They may turn out to be impact players, but ranking wise they won't finish atop the list.
