hes the type of RB the FSU {Bowden} likes to bring in.He looks great to me and just to see hide behind a big OL.

He's my favorite back in this class because he would add another dimension to the backs that we already have. With as much as Charlie likes to screen passes, I think he would be great in that role and running draw plays.

Almost reminds you of a young Garrett Wolfe! I would definately take that!

It seems that a lot people are disregarding him, but he does play in talent rich Florida, outrushed Chris Rainey last year (UF signee last year), and seems QUICK!! So I think it's great that Charlie is pursuing him.

Aside from that, I have also watched Ryan Williams tape, and he looks fantastic to me. If we pick up either one, I would be pleased with the RB recruiting for a 3rd straight year.

I think either of them is a great addition. I think they have different strengths but I have a hard time saying I like one better than the other at this point. I'll probably end up liking whoever becomes IRISH.

He's a young gun

Lets not forget Frostproof where Carlton plays is in Class 2B and Rainey is in the best division.

I know that his athleticism is top notch, but dont forget he's running through tackles of less talented players. Yes Florida is talent rich and I'd love to have him, but lets not get carried away because he's putting up big numbers in a smaller division.

I would have to disagree with you here.Even thow he may play in a 2a league doesn't mean the other schools don't have any competition.21 means and i'm sure you know the size of the school he goes to.And some 2a schools do play 3a and 4a teams on the schedules. And they even may play 5a or 6a schools depending who they get scheduly.Thats how it is around where I live at in FL.2b for that matter also.

i understand what you're saying, and I come from a group 1 school in NJ, so I know there's talent out there. I'm just saying that Rainey was in 6A and Carlton's in 2B. Rainey plays the best of the best. While Carlton played two 3A teams, four 2B teams, two 2A teams, and two 1A teams on his schedule.

There is a difference in talent week in and week out. That's all I'm saying, so lets enjoy that he's a talent, but we wont be able to really see what he can do til he's playing better competition.

------They said that last year about Clausen and then Oaks Christian coach scheduled a game with #1 Saint Bonaventure and he dominated them, but people seem to forget that. CT is good and you can see it in his highlights no matter what your competition is.

LOL. i cant believe you just used Clausen's team as an example. Difference. Look at the majority of D-1 prospects on a school that it doesnt matter where they live. Clausen's team was loaded with D-1 prospects. Carlton Thomas is the only 1. I say he is a talent, but he is a man among boys in that league. I think he's going to be a great player and I'm not knocking him at all, but he "might" not have as many highlights against better competition.

----------yeah i know i just wanted to bring up Clausens competition to show he's a beast.

:D :D :D :D :D

Sometime we get too caught up in the classes I think. You guys will kill me, but can I make across country reference? I know, totally different sport, individual, etc. But my freshmen year we were undefeated, 73-0, state title. We were a 4A school, now it is 6A even though the same number of students. However the fastest guy at every meet was a guy from a 1A school, who didn't even have enough team members (you need 5) for a team score. He out-ran every opponent, every race regardless of class size.

Loosely translate that to football, it is possible for him to get good results against better competition, though not necessarily the same numbers. He might step up his efforts against better comp, and not feel the need to coast. In KY, the classes play each other during the season anyway, and are only seperated in the playoffs. My logic may be full of holes, but nonetheless it is my logic. :D

i totally agree with you. but what im saying is, this kid looks unstoppable in his highlight film.

and for the clausen comment. thank the lord we have him!!

id love to get this guy, but in my opinion, any of the RBs would be fine with me.

Rumor has it that ND is still in the lead since Weis has been calling him to tuck him in at night!

Chiro - thanks for the update. I bet that if Armando sees some decent PT this year, particularly if Weis can get him some touches in space and he makes some plays, this will greatly help with CT's recruitment.

I am from Clausen's hometown and I can vouch that their division is pretty weak but to make up for it they scheduled the likes of St. Bonni, Westlake, Hart and other top CA programs. He dominated in all cases. Something people forget about Clausen is that he only played in the 1st half of 80% of those games because they were ahead by 50 points at half. If he played at another school (dont want to mention names) they would have left him in and run up the board to 70. Clausens stats couldve been even more guady if given the chance. I cant wait to see him play at ND, whether its this year or next.

Ziggy have you ever been to a Florida high school football game? The school maybe small but trust me all of the devisions in Florida are competitive. However, based on what I've seen of him, Frostproof is just up the road from me, the kid is good, but I think that we would be better off with Ryan Williams. Carlton has a bit of an attitude in my opinion, which lends itself to other teams in my neck of the woods...not ND.

Attitude? I remember a good one......Rickey Watters, RB
