Matt Patchan committed to Miami over the weekend. Now, at this point this is just a rumor, but the guy that started it (over on Miami's scout board) is fairly accurate and has been in the past. Just thought some of you might want to know.

If true, nice pick up for Miami. I thought ND's chances were a long shot anyway with Patchan. He'll be a stud for the canes.

if that is true re: Patchan than we better get Trev Robinson, because i heard over the weekend that Art Forst is now between just Florida and Rutgers, ND is out for him.

if we lose out on Patchan, Robinson, Forst, we really only have Page left barring a late bloomer kind guy, and dont know what our chances are with him either.

IMO thats a good thing that ND's out with Forst, his stock keeps slipping, he's looked terrible at camps this year and getting solid RT is a dime a dozen. Now missing out on Patchan sucks if true, because he's quite a special talent, IMO he's the #1 OT in the nation.

Ok, apparently Patchan did not commit, but just had an outstanding visit. We've got conflicting reports.

Its all good I would have a hard time thinking he would commit right away.But, crazier things have happen this recruiting season.

damn, for the past few thread that had the word "rumor" in it, it was always "there's a rumor going around that ND picked up (insert 5 or 4 star stud here)" I guess you can't have 'em all.

First of all, Forst never dropped ND and it's mostly between ND and RU with UF being a distant 3rd. Don't know where you heard that, but it's a lie. He'll be taking his official visits to all three schools and I think he ends up at RU in the end (Which is what I would prefer.) Big Trev. would be a big addition to close out the OL, but apprently Patchan hasn't ended it yet so we'll see (Even though I think it's only a matter of time before he picks Miami.)

If Trev decides to go with ND . I cant see Cw taking anymore Oline specialy at the rate this class may be filling up

I more or less agree but I doubt they turn down Patchan if he wanted to come.

i agree, if we get Trevor i think they'd still take patchan, but that might mean the end for Page and ND.

Of course it means the end of Page! Damn, he would have to pick the cans! Oh well. With the way the athletic department makes our schedules, it's not like we will ever play them again, unless it's a bowl game.
