Chris Harper is visiting ND this Friday hoping to get an offer. The staff more and more each day like him at WR...

He'd be a HUGE WR -- not in terms of height (although he is tall) but in terms of weight -- the kid's built like a tank.

 

Personally, I'd like to see him play safety a la Taylor Mays at USC.

He's a kid that I would actually like to see ND get even with limited scholarships left, he's a special athlete that they can mold into something at a later point.

is he part of the A Brown group/posse out of Kansas ala the Ginns?...with the "agent" guy etc? or is he "on his own" and not being "handled" like Art and Brice Brown et al?

Any summary of Chris Harper? Strengths or weaknesses? Possible position in college? Would he be offered if we miss on Floyd, Baldwin or Butler?

I think he is with the agent. I dont like HS players having agent type people advise them on a descision like this.

Haha. I think that maybe alittle bit of a stretch with the conspiracy theories. Often times an offer from ND gets other schools to offer the kid also because they dont want to be left behind.

He is an ATH who is a bigger, faster version of Greg Little. We have not offered him yet and he is with that guy Brian Butler who is sort of like an agent for HS players.

^^^^^^^^^^Agreed. Harper is an athletic freak who has been working out like a pro for probably 5 years. Little was a better football player.

Just because your bigger and faster doesnt make you better. At WR route running, ball skills, your hands, closing speed on the ball in the air, blocking, reading defensives are all skills a player needs to possess. If you can run like the wind but you cant read a coverage or catch the ball it doesnt matter.
