Being reported that Ryan Williams and his mom will be visiting ND during the first of week of August now and he wanted to make sure Charlie would be there. Whatever that means...

Could we possibly be just waiting on 2 five stars to finish off the class by the time the season starts? I really think we might have 23 by September 1st... Who those will be I don't know.

Eventually we are going to have to tell guys no because we will know and already have a good idea of whats going on with a lot of prospects left on the board before fall camp hits.

his video is pretty :censored: impressive.

he's not one you're gonna easily bring down thats for sure.

I would love to add him to our backfield

THANK YOU TAA. These are the guys that some of us think we take "no matter what":

T.J. Bryant

Matt Patchan

Arthur Brown

Marcus Forston

Some guys we're probably out of it with that are also on the list:

Shayne Hale

Will Hill

Terrelle Pryor

And that doesn't include the guys we have a good chance with already that'll are candidates to jump on board sooner rather than later:

Michael Floyd

Dan McCarthy

Steve Filer

Etienne Sabino

Jeremy Brown

Ryan Williams

*Trevor Robinson (smoke from the decommit camp)

And that doesn't include some of the NSD guys on our radar:

Jonathan Baldwin

Carlton Thomas

We're going to have to put the stop sign up in front of some very, very good players. 7 looks like the ceiling - 9 is the absolute most, and that means cutting a 3 year starter at linebacker. I just don't see the space for everyone to hop on board. I think we need to start rethinking our stance on guys we'd take "no matter what".

Calves, I think that is a pretty right on assessment. Man I look at some of those names, and if we can get 5-6 of them. Gesh!

On the save for list I think we can get a good idea of when those guys visit and just tell Forston he's the only one that can wait that long. But if what if NDNC2010 is right and Will Hill visits for the MSU game and not a high profile game like USC. That would definitely be a sign of real interest do we really turn down Will Hill if he wants to come. I don't think Corwin would want to turn down the best safety in the class.

All I know is I don't know whats going to happen because even there is nine. It could be...

Filer, Floyd, McCarthy, J. Brown, T. Robinson, Sabino, R. Williams, Baldwin, Forston.

Floyd is the key to everything.

If he commits, then it is the "race to commit" for DMac and JBrown for that secondary spot i believe. and you have 2 spots where we thought would be 3, freeing up a "late spot".

this is why DMac and JB "moved things up" recently after the slaughter/blanton commits.

if FLOYD does not commit, then "no race to commit" for DMac and JB because CW can and will use JBrown at WR and keep DMac on D.

also, if no Floyd commit can wait on Baldwin, make it a Floyd/Baldwin "race to commit" scenario in the Fall; but now is at expense of "non-secondary" position, i.e. one of the LB's or the OL guys.

somehting tells me it shakes out this way, Calves:

T.J. Bryant no idea-havent follwoed him

Matt Patchan Miami

Arthur Brown Oklahoma

Marcus Forston ND (will be CB's signature, statement recruit)

Some guys we're probably out of it with that are also on the list:

Shayne Hale OSU

Will Hill FSU

Terrelle Pryor OSU

And that doesn't include the guys we have a good chance with already that'll are candidates to jump on board sooner rather than later:

Michael Floyd ND

Dan McCarthy ND

Steve Filer ILL

Etienne Sabino (USC wih a late and effective last minute Petey "Push")

Jeremy Brown UF

Ryan Williams Va Tech

*Trevor Robinson (smoke from the decommit camp) ND

And that doesn't include some of the NSD guys on our radar:

Jonathan Baldwin ND (his HS coach really oushing him to ND)

Carlton Thomas Auburn

That leaves us with 17 plus

18Floyd

19MCarthy

20Robinson

21Baldwin

22 Forston

maybe one late flier that i have wrong above...(or replace sabino for ND and Forston to miami.)

CAN WE SAY #1 RECRUITING CLASS!!!!

Honestly, I used to worry about what would shake out if we took this sized class, and that sized class, and so on and so forth, and how it would affect our fifth years and scholarship breakdown.

No more.

Honestly, I'm just going to enjoy the ride, because this recruiting stuff is really exciting. The one thing I can say, however, is this is such a wonderful problem to have.

Wow!! I just saw his film and it is impressive. I definately want this guy with one of those last slots.

ND - Filer to ILL? they aren't in his top two.

Sabino to USC?

If u are goin with crapshoot guesses, at least guess us!

Will Hill to ND right???

Definitely Filer to ND.

Back to the RBs for a moment, did anything happen with CT? I know we were after him REALLY hard a month or so ago, but it seems to be quiet lately.

Is he just wanting to wait things out a bit or did he take a visit to some place like Auburn and now they're on top?

right. Makes me think of another VA rb who wore The Golden Helmet

Its a flavor of the week scenario, and its befitting of what he's indicated. He said he's going to pick a school that really wants him there, and needs him to step in from day one. So, when ND knocks on his door a lot, they jump up on the list. When he goes to Auburn and they show him some love, surprise surprise! You get my drift.

If this were last year, Thomas would be a pretty easy sell. But this year would be a really difficult catch. With Allen guaranteed to see the field early, and with Hughes coming in alongside him, Thomas would probably have some (warranted) fears about being stuck behind guys that grab a starting job and don't let go.

And on top of that, he'll probably wait to decide until the winter months, so that he can know full well what he's getting into.

I wonder if he has a ticket... Or will have a ticket on the train?

We might be at 22 before the season starts...
