Did something happen to Ragone? Heard on power hour that he is not on campus.

I was just signing on to DD to find out more info on the situation. From what I've heard Ragone has not qualified to start school...ANYWHERE. I'm not sure what the SAT/ACT requirements are in order to play but I heard he hasn't qualified yet. Can anyone confirm this? If that's true, I didn't know you could take those tests so late?

I personally backed this guy a wonderful kid.

 

My priest, 'inside' source has been ill and I have nothing that way from NJ since last year.

 

I DO BELIEVE all academic requirements are met and it is .......a home, personal problem.

Definitely not a grades issue as he had his entire senior year to focus on grades while being out with an injury. He academic eligibility has never been a question at ND, not sure why he'd be trying to get into another school if that's what you've suggested. All reports indicate he'll be back to report by 8/6 and is out because of a personal issue. Where did you hear this if you don't mind my asking DTCBND03?

Whatever the reason is I hope it's nothing serious. I also doubt it's because of academics...I can't see an issue like that dragging on for so long without a word because I've heard nothing about academic issues.

Heard it from a coworker of mine who is a fellow ND grad. He said it was RUMORED it was academics which is why I posted it when I saw no one else had replied cri8nd's post to see what everyone at DD had heard.

Sounds like just another rumor . I hope thats the case

I had just sent IrishRick an EM a bit ago on this. I should know but can't cause my priest source is ill. I am chasing this down as much as I can cause of the below part of my EM I sent Rick

Hey Rick, been trying to find out why Mike Ragone never showed up on campus. I am concerned cause I called him an Irish get, long before anyone thanks to my priest source in New Jersey. This priest has been ill for many months and is seldome on line now so that source dried up. All I can find is some guys on line saying 'personal reasons or issues.' That really tells one nothing. Could be he has a problem or there is a family problem.??????

sj, i sent em to a friend concerning this , i don't know of any problem, think he will return when school starts . or football practice staRTS. hope to hear from friend today he just might kno w ?? will advise if and when , go irish

Y agreat find.Over on general I posted the Numbers the incoming class is going to wear.And Ragone is getting #83.

I don't know...something just doesn't seem right:

 

1) Why would Housing make an "error" in late May (when the facebook posts were made) and not have it corrected by now. Are there any later facebook posts from Brandon Walker?

 

2) Ragone is still not at the summer session (which I understand could be because of a personal issue)

 

If anything, these facebook posts just raise my concern even more because it seems like too much of a coincidence for him to not be on the housing list for the summar AND not show up. I'm not trying to stir the pot...I'm just saying, something is odd.

i highly highly doubt that ND would issue him his jersey # if he hasn't qualified for some insane reason.

I heard from a pal and go say AT DD "rumor....... rumor" wishpher... gossuip, all it was is an inunability to afford driving to SB AT THIS PLACE AND TIME. You know these kids can't afford a bunch, the fam seems in a pinch and NCAA rules don't help. Let's slack off a bit. Things are OK and it will will work out eventally. He's a great kid.

Rumors, rumors, and more rumors. They keep us on our toes. I don't understand how it could have been academics? The test scores should have been in already. The only way this rumor could have been true is if he failed classes needed to graduate HS. GoIrish24, GREAT FIND. Way to use your noggin! I know how it was the summer before my frosh yr at ND. After I got in off the wait list my family had to scrape for my mother and me to see ND for the first time and sign some final papers. If its not money, then I hope everything is ok with Mike and his family. I can't wait for Mike to get settled in on campus.

My cousin lives in Jersey, his last day of high school was on June 20th. Which would have been four days to late to start ND's summer session. Schools in Jersey get out later, don't know if this is the reason, though.
