I like our chances w/ Steve Brown. I understand he grew up a wolverine, but he has friends like schmidt and aldridge already committed to ND. Go Irish!!

Walls said he is closing to deciding, will keep it silent until after his official visits.

Yea, I heard he is likely to make a soft verbal before August 7 or 8 (I dont remember) and then make a solid verbal after his officials. I am mixed about this kid, but with the recent news of Mays and if Brown just so happens to choose Mich, Walls will have no competition in the backfield besides (possibly) McNeil. You have to like our chances with what we can sell to this kid.

I have been reading on other boards that Steve Brown is Michigan bound, does anyone else have any info about this.

I don't know if this means anything, but I read earlier that Daniel Wenger (He has nothing to do with the point I am making, but you should know) and Sergio Brown both received offers from ND. So that means Brown got offered, so we must have lost out on someone. It could be Mays or the other Brown, but take it how you want to.

Sergio Brown got offered mainly becuase Mays dropped us, as for Wegner he is the teammate of Sam Young so that might help us, as for Steve Brown michigan fans are saying he is a wolverine and nd fans are saying he is irish and i think the only one that really knows is Steve himself

That is not true about Sergio Brown getting an offer because Mays dropped us. It has nothing to do with Mays. Sergio was offered a ways back (verbally) and the ND staff was still attempting to get him through admissions so that they can make it official with a written offer. So if he has a written offer now it is NOT because of Mays, it means that his offer has now gone from verbal to written and the staff got him through admissions.

I know Mays is ranked higher by recruitniks, but I honestly have not found one article explaining why. Meanwhile, I have read rave reviews about Sergio Brown painting a picture that he was overlooked BIG TIME and even though he is highly ranked now, he's still a diamond in the rough. I have no qualms taking Brown instead of Mays, especially with his desire to play here and the fact that he is from this region. No South Bend winter "shock."

For what its worth, I have seen Mays' video, and it is not that impressive. I think Steve Brown will suprise some people with his decision as well, I realy think hes Nd bound
