Since there are so many threads on so many different tangents within themselves, this is my attempt to single out the waiting game one recruit at a time. To recap:

 

Yesterday everyone and their brother went spastic over the somewhat impromptu verbal of Jamoris Slaughter, and the very much impromptu verbal of Ethan Johnson.

 

What's relevant to Dan McCarthy specifically is that in the wake of yesterday's verbals, an article tacked up on the II main page made very strong hints that more ND verbals were on the way - with McCarthy's name up for all to bear witness to. If you couldn't see it through the tears of joy that were welled up in your eyes after yesterday, here it is again.

That said, I'll throw just a splash of fuel onto this fire. One of the OSU sites I visit/post at has guys that are pretty darn in touch with recruiting in the state of Ohio. They were posting as of yesterday around 2 PM yesterday that McCarthy to ND was on the horizon, so its not just us.

 

There are still rumblings about him being legitimately torn in his decision, but if I had to guess those stem back to this article (read the last sentence), before he set foot in South Bend again. But thats just my tea leave reading.

... actually it looks like he's wearing blue and white to me, because my monitor is defunct... everything thats red either comes up blue or black .

i agree. he has been a great contributor to this forum.

 

the way he bounces around the sites and gets info on top of the knowledge he already possesses. he's an asset to DD.

So what is the best guess from reading the "tea leaves". Is McCarthy going to commit in the next several days or is it unknown on timetable?

We joined approx. the same time and I have most definately been outpaced!! I thought I was crazy about recruiting till I joined this site and met yall

McCarthy said that he is done with his visits and will be making a summertime decision. He had a good time hanging out with other commits and his brother. Said that the pressure of being with the other commits and hearing of EJ and JS this week will not influence his decision.

My guess is that Danny gave his word to ND before he left, I'm guessing he wants to verbal publicly.
