when i was in the bahamas, i met a nd fan. he is a rivals subsciber and was on top of his stuff. he said that he teaches at eason high school where holley goes to school. holley told him that nd was on him hard early and now have backed off. nd told holly that they were going after bigger more pyhiscal dbs. holley told his teacher that if nd were to offer he would jump on it in a second. so it is looking good for saughter i guess. of yeah i also got engaged too.

congrats on the engagement forever! good info on holley. holley is 5'11 and 170lbs. and could easily get up to 185-190 range. robert blanton is only 2 inches and seven pounds bigger then holley.

welcome back forever. funny, i was just asking someone about him yesterday (i live 15 minutes away) and was going to make a similar post. i've seen him play multiple times and although he is a tremendous athlete, he does lack some size and physicality. he is just going into his senior year, so alot may change. would like to keep him on our radar as i know he is a strong ND lean. hope your family is well forever........

guys like him and compton i think will be there when the cards fall on some of the other guys.

 

like i said in the compton update, this just goes to show that the staff really thinks we have a great shot at the other guys.

is it just me or can you guys feel the unbelivable momentum this staff is building with recruits this year? yes, i know we felt somewhat the same way last year but this year just seems..different. like it's a freight train that's just rollin' and rollin' and picking up steam...incredible!

I think c. thomas is really the only guy on this list that could be left off and we'd still have a top 5 class.

I dont necessarily think we need a RB in this class.

 

I think 22 will be our number in the end. It's the staff's decision on which position the schollie's get pulled after these guys start committing.

 

We have 15 right now, so that's 7 maybe 8 depending on 5th year seniors.

Completely agree. He won't get the hype because he committed early, and didn't get much interest from elsewhere because he pretty much told the world "I'm a Domer don't bother." But when I watch him, I see a different kind of linebacker than the ones we've been bringing in. He's a pure ILB, who plays with a different gear - a tenacity kind of like what I see out of Omar Hunter. Nagel and Paskorz are nice, but they were more or less HS athletes, who were Jacks of all Trades. This guy is a pure LB, no iffs ands or buts about it. I'm glad we're getting space eaters on the DL, 'cause McDonald could be a MONSTER if he's allowed to roam and hunt down ballcarriers without the disruption of blockers.

 

Honestly, I don't care if we end up with a class ranked 5th or a class ranked 7th. Its just an arbitrary #, and the bottom line is we're already filling the needs with top shelf talent. Yes, the previous years had great hauls on offense, but we didn't fill all of our holes (see DL for details), now, we're getting the same great talent, but filling needs too. Its a good feeling, particularly to see the defense go stride for stride with the offense on the recruiting front.

on holley, I'm glad to see ND is treating these kids right. you know when you hear recruits say "Coach Weis tells it like it is, and i respect that" well this is what they mean. He's not BSing them. He tells them straight up what their chances are.

Yep, congrats forever. Domeanddomer is wise beyond his years. This is great advice that I wish I had before I got married. Do what is asked but interject little and you will live to see your bachelor party.
