A Few questions to answer:

How long have you been a fan of Fighting Irish football?

Favourite players during that time?

Favourite game?

Worst game?

Favourite game you saw live?

I'll be going on 20 years that I have followed Notre Dame religiously.

Good times and bad...

Favourite players: Chris Zorich, Rodney Culver, Lindsay Knapp, Demetrius DuBose, Marc Edwards, Autry Denson, Luke Petitgout, and Arnaz Battle...

Favourite game: 1992 Penn State, runner up 1993 FSU

Worst game: tie between 1993 Boston College and 2005 USC

Favourite live game: tie 1999 USC, the 25-24 wind in the third, wind in the fourth game and 2006 UCLA comeback...was thrilled to be at both comebacks...

How about you?

Been a fan since about 1954??? That's 50 some odd years cause paul Hornung came from my HS and Nearby neighborhood. I think the Miami game was the best. I never saw a game live, and you picked two of mine and my daughters Fav's Zorich and Marc Edwards. I think it's Zibby now :D I hated the Davie games and Ty's. When I joined DD I was in here fire Ty. Ahahaha  I was in aol football chat rooms getting laughed at for his inexplicable game planning.

How long have you been a fan of Fighting Irish football? As long as I can remember since I grew up 30 miles from ND

Favourite players during that time? Rick Mirer since we was a hometown hero just a couple of years older then me. Tony Rice during the 80s and Darrin Walls and Ryan Burkhart now. Burkhart another local kid from where I grew up.

Favourite game? FSU vs ND in 93 (I think that was the year it was 1 vs. 2) or the ND vs. WVU NC game!!!!

Worst game? USC beating ND by 31 or 35 point when Ty was coaching. Was at the game and was so excited to see this game.

Favourite game you saw live? First game I saw at ND against BYU in the student section. ND lost, but it was a dream come true to see Lou coaching. Hopefully followed by ND beating USC at home this year!

since birth, 1963. first memory of a game was the 1971 cotton bowl when ND beat Texas 24-11 and steve wooster was their running back. texas was heavily favored, and we kicked their ass. after that, i never missed a game. joe montana, tim brown and hiawatha francisco. i just loved hearing lindsey nelson say that name...........

I've been a Notre Dame fan since as long as I can remember. Much like Nick, my Grandfather was an endless source of Notre Dame propaganda, so I was hooked from a time before I was cognitive. For fairness's sake, we'll say the first game I saw was the hook line and sinker: Notre Dame vs. Navy in 1994.

My favorite players... I have to break them up into those I've seen, and those I've read about. My favorites from my era are Arnaz Battle, Cedric Hilliard, Tom Zbikowski, Rocky Boiman, Justin Tuck, Nicolas Setta (hailed from the town I was born in), Brady Quinn, and probably a player I have yet to see on this roster.

From the history books, I gotta give props to Chris Zorich, John Huarte, Jack Snow, and of course Joe Montana.

Favorite game... whew, there's a lot of 'em. I liked the Notre Dame vs. Texas matchup from 1995. I remember some special teams trickery that had my young brain mesmerized. Hmmm... however, I've got a two way tie for first: 2002 Notre Dame beats FSU 34-24, remains 8-0 and vaulted into title contention. 2005 Notre Dame beats Michigan 17-10 at the Big House, derailing Michigan's season.

Worst game... a lot of possibilities here as well - I wen't bat :censored: after the ND/MSU loss in 2005... but I have to say the loss to Air Force in 1996 was the most personally upsetting. Holtz was no longer the head coach, the season tickets my Grandpa had were moved (first time in 30+ years), he was in the hospital, the stadium looked different (post renovation)... everything was different and little if anything looked or felt right. We even left early before OT kicked in.

Favorite live game: Notre Dame vs. BC 1995. It had a more charged atmosphere than the Navy game I saw the year before. I thought it was cool to see the red cheering section of BC fans, and how they started to go quiet after the 3rd quarter (ND won 20-10 by the way).

How long have you been a fan of Fighting Irish football? Since I was about six, when I first started really paying attention to the games, and the Rocket ran back two kicks against Michigan in the same game.

Favourite players during that time? Rocket, Brady Quinn, Bobby Taylor, Lee Becton, Kevin McDougal, Arnaz Battle, Zibby, Allen Rossum

Favourite game? 93 Florida State, and honestly, 05 USC even though it was a heartbreaker.

Worst game? 06 Michigan, the day the world crashed down.

Favourite game you saw live? 06 UCLA. It was my little bro's first game and it obviously couldn't have ended any better. 02 Michigan State was also fun, at Spartan Stadium.[/b]

How long have you been a fan of Fighting Irish football? My best guess would be 15 plus years. I can't put an exact year on it I just remember the first time I saw a game on TV, I knew I was hooked. I was at my dad's cousin's house. The game was on and the moment I saw those golden helmets, I was hooked.

Favourite players during that time? Gerome Sapp, Mike Goolsby, Ryan Grant, Arnez Battle, Tommy Z, Glenn Earl, Todd Light, Jerome Bettis, Kory Minor, the Rocket, Reggie Brooks

Favourite game? 1988 Miami

Worst game? 2005 USC

Favourite game you saw live? Well, I guess it has to be 2006 Air Force because the only other game I saw was when ND played in Nebraska in 2001, and we know how that turned out.
