No southsiders? Is there something wrong with my girlfriend. I guess i'll tell her not to come and that it is over. Damn she is good looking too.

Don't lie, we all know thats just you and your sister.

LEeeeeeeeets not go down that road, por favor?

You got me. We are real close though.

"So that's how they do it in their family..."

SO, Ethan Johnson, eh? I really hope he gets blown away by his visit! Boy it'd sure be nice to get him and be done with it all...

Seriously though, now that my blatant attempt to get back on topic has ceased, he's definitely the defensive player that I want the most. Sabino might fit a bigger need, but the tape on Johnson is really something else, and I'd LOVE to make sure he doesn't end up a Trojan. It would be the cherry on top after swiping away Dayne Crist.

If I was only 45 years younger   :drunk:

hopefully CB can really sell him on the 3-4 defense becuse he is an ideal DE. right now i still feel that USC has the edge but you never no when players visith ND, EJ might have an omar hunter type moment.

Or if you want a west coast analogy, a Dayne Crist moment. It also is helpful that Johnson will be up for more than a day - plenty of time to check out all the nooks and crannies of the campus, and see if he really likes it.

I guess I'm fishing for a debate here, but who is the one defensive prospect that is still uncommitted that you want the most? Mine is Ethan Johnson, due to the fact that its us or USC, the insatiable motor that I've seen when I watch him on film, the tools that he brings to DE that nobody else left could, and that it would be a statement verbal to get a top 50 recruit, from Oregon, to go thousands of miles from home to play in the middle of the "cold and boring" Midwest.

i agree with you calves, but for some reason my fav, at this point, would be sabino. sure, i played linebacker in college and may be biased for the position but i think he could be a game-changer.

but, i don't think we get him! :(

I would go with Sabino...right after that*in a close second is Johnson or Filer...cant decide :D

this might be the extremely obvious one that no one is picking because we're not a favorite but still alive for.....Arthur Brown.....let's see if he can be the Sam Young of this class.

I think if we don't recruit a running back this year then that helps for us getting Arthur Brown and having the inside track with his bro next year, they want to play together.

That looks to be the biggest strike against OU. With DeMarco Murray there, along with the two RB's they're bringing in with this class (Calhoun and Johnson, if memory serves)... well, lets just say I don't think this is USC, where every year they bring in 2-3 blue chip RBs.

It'd be wonderful to get Arthur Brown, but the ONLY way we get that is via Corwin Brown. I think him pulling that one off would be the recruiting coup of the year - and I'm talking nation wide, because it'd be that tough of a sell.

But I'm already completely gravy with whatever happens after yesterday with defensive recruiting. We don't get Hunter or Blanton if not for Corwin's influence, period. And Darius Fleming would have been a much tougher sell - he really liked him as a coach, and the 3-4 was a selling point.

I'm still with NDNC as for the greeting party we should organize for Ethan's arrival. If we miss on him it wouldn't set us back persay, but boy do I think he could make our DL a force.
