Todays the day Zach has to decide. First day of class and our remaining 15 freshmen start training too.

Whatever he decides, good luck to him. He and his family have handled this situation with alot of class, and should be commended for their actions.

same here...GOOD LUCK ZACH with whatever u do

Get er done Zach and much luck with your decision!

Zach, hang in there my friend, stay the course. go irish..... :D

I hope you stay Zach, but if you don't good luck and stay healthy

Hearing that he is going to transfer to University of Cinncinatti.

anyone else here this, too?

i read that he was visiting Cincy, nutn further than that.

Id say Cincy or Miami. Cincy has a good frosh and good soph, but I would hope Zach's at another level.

Rutgers was the early favorite in my mind, but we have them on our schedule starting in 2010, so CW prolly wont allow them.

he should go to Miami because he can win the spot here and miami is a much better team than cincy.

he has a good chance starting in either place.

I just wanna see him here in Miami.

i think you guys are kinda crazy if you think miami will take him, to be brutally frank. if he's talking to cinncy and uconn, mid-level big east schools, i just don't see him being quite on the level that miami needs and wants at the qb position. remember, kyle wright (sp?) was like the #1 qb prospect coming outta high school. i don't see shannon, who's trying to take the hurricanes back to the top, taking a guy who was 4th string ( and he was 4th string, no matter how much any of us one here like him and/or his family and the fact he was the first big qb recruit, etc. he was 4th string...) at ND.

not trying to denigrate zach AT ALL. just looking at it logically, i still think it'll be a mid-to-low-level big east school.

Blue and Gold is reporting him gone. Teaser article for money, I have no subscription.

kyle wright will be on his way out by the time Zach is eligible to play. And Zach was 1 of the top QBs in the country as well with 2 years getting coaching from CW? Why wouldnt Miami want him? I personally think he'll go to a Big East school, but I cant blame Miami for wanting him.

zach was NOT rated as highly as wright. come on, ziggy, you know that.

and were was it quoted that miami wanted him anyway/ i've only ever read that opinion from poeple here on DD. i may be wrong but i'd like someone to point that quote out to me, if possible.

I don't think he was saying Zach was a 5 star recruit like Kyle. Just that he was a top flight QB recruit, one of the Elite 11 selections, that sort of comparison. Not the same as, but in the ballpark so to speak.

As far as my memory goes, Zach never got an offer from Miami, but they were making phone calls and thinking about an offer before he pledged to ND. We can't be too sure if Miami would have offered, particularly since Zach ended his recruitment so early (mid April), but the Miami chatter isn't completely farfetched.

I can't really quote anything, since most of the stuff I'm looking at is premium access that I cant even look at myself, but you'll have to take my word on it. Maybe someone else can dig up a quote summing up Miami's involvement in the recruiting process.

i wasnt comparing him to wright. i was stating wright will be on his way out by the time zach gets there.

Quoting ESPN article -- "Frazer plans to visit up to five schools as early as this week. Among the schools with mutual interest are Rutgers, UConn, Miami, Louisville and East Carolina"

And Calves, you solidified what i meant that he was a top QB being an Elite 11 QB. That's all i meant. I didnt compare him to anyone. I just think being under CW for a year and 1/2 will makes Zach more valuable and with Miami's offensive woes, why not try to get another qb. I personally think it'd be a bad idea for Zach, but I can see why Miami's interested. That was basically my point.

fair enough, ziggy but i know you weren't comparing wright *to* zach. i get that. but what i was saying is that miami got wright, the NUMBER ONE ranked qb in his class so why, again, would they be after a 4th string transfer from ND? shannon wants to bring in top ten classes.

sure, miami might have "interest" but what i'm saying is that i don't think he'll get PT down there.

and how much can the "weis factor" really amount to when zach didn't make the 3-man cut? maybe he didn't "get" the offense at all?

i think i may have said too much cuz it appears that i am slammin' zach but i was just wondering how people could really think he'd end up at miami.

and thanks for the espn quote but to me, that just furthers my argument! miami is the ONLY top-flight program mentioned. and no, louisville with a *new coach* is not anywhere near "da U" even with mimai's recent struggles. nor is rutgers. yet. he's headed to a mid-level big east school, just as i thought all along.

i really don't wanna get on yr bad side, though, ziggy, so i'm letting this drop. :)

since everyone has zach going everywhere when is Notre dame going to inform the fans. I still hope he stays if thats possible. what say you? :)
